[Y] [PREACHING LESSON 7:] LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED

LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED

( Psalms 70: ) "Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually.

* INTRODUCTION:

 * Let God be magnified and glorified in the life of the people.

(Ephesians 3:17-21) [17]That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

[18]May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

[19]And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

[20]Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

[21]Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.

* 5 GREAT THINGS ABOUT MAGNIFY IN THE LIFE OF THE CHRISTIANS.

I. GOD IS MAGNIFIED WHEN HIS FAITHFUL SERVANTS ARE MAGNIFIED

a. Paul's life chooses the Lord Jesus Christ as center of his life.

b. Christ is the strong foundation of his daily Christian life. Because he is rooted and grounded of strong faith to Jesus Christ.

(Ephesians 3:17-21) [17]That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

[18]May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

Amen.

c. Christ Jesus is always glorified in the life of God's servant.

II. GOD IS MAGNIFIED WHEN HIS WORD IS EXALTED.

(Psalm 138:2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

*That is the calling of every preacher, the divine principle, the crying need of the world, the answer to hungry hearts. That is the way to get people saved. David said, "…for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name."

*No wonder God has honored His Word, for He teaches that through this Word is the only way people can be saved. "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"

(Romans 10:17). "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever"

(1 Peter 1:23). Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

*God has magnified it because this is the instrument of cleansing for the born-again child of God.

(John 15:3)  "Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you."

*I read in the Psalms where the psalmist said, "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word" (Psalms 119:9)

*No marvel that God has honored His Word above everything else, not only because it converts and cleanses but because it comforts.

* Finally the Word of God is magnified in the life of obedient Child of God.

(Psalms 1:1-2) [1]Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

[2]But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

III. GOD IS MAGNIFIED WHEN THE NAME OF JESUS IS  SINCERELY DECLARED TO THE LOST WORLD.

* God is magnified when the Name of Jesus Christ is declared by sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

( Romans:15-17) [15]So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

[16]For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

[17]For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

* Acts 2: 36-41) [36]Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

[37]Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

[38]Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

[39]For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

[40]And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

[41]Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

IV. GOD IS MAGNIFIED IN OUR BODIES PRESENT TO GOD A LIVING SACRIFICE TO GOD.

(Romans 12:1-2) [1]I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

[2]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

* Paul let Christ to magnified in his life.

(Philippians 1:20-21) [20]According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

[21]For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

…so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death."

* Paul's determination to finished his calling to testify  the gospel of Christ with joy  even to loose his life for the gospel of Christ sakes.

Acts 20:24 [24]But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

V. GOD IS MAGNIFIED WHEN JESUS IS HONORED

Luke 2:9-13 [9]And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

[10]And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

[11]For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

[12]And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

[13]And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

*God is magnified when Jesus is honored as the personal Saviour of a lost soul.

( Acts 4:10-13 ) [10]Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

[11]This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

[12]Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

[13]Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

* The Name of the Jesus Christ is magnified in the life of faithful Christian who faithfully serving the Lord. Amen and amen!!!

(2 Thessalonians 1:10-12)

[10]When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

[11]Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

[12]That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

* God bless you all always *
