THERE IS
POWER IN THE RIGHTEOUS LIFE OF THE CHRISTIAN IN THE SIGHT OF GOD
(Proverbs 10:9) He that walketh uprightly walketh
surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
1. God will fulfill His promises to the righteous (Gen
18:19;)
(Genesis 18:19) For I know him, that he will
command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way
of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham
that which he hath spoken of him.
(I Samuel 2:30-31) [30]Wherefore the LORD God of
Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should
walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them
that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly
esteemed.
[31]Behold, the days come, that I
will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not
be an old man in thine house.
(II Chronicles 6:23)
Then hear
thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by
recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by
giving him according to his righteousness.
2. God will reveal His secrets to the righteous
(Genesis 18:17-19) [17]And the LORD said, Shall I
hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
[18]Seeing that Abraham shall
surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall
be blessed in him?
[19] For I know him, that he will
command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way
of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham
that which he hath spoken of him.
(Psalm 25:12,14) [12]What man is he that feareth
the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
[13]His soul shall dwell at ease;
and his seed shall inherit the earth.
[14]The secret of the LORD is with
them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
( Proverbs 2:7) He layeth up sound wisdom for the
righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
(John 7:17) If any man will do his will, he shall know of the
doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
(2 Thessalonians
2:10-12) [10]And
with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they
received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[11]And for this cause God shall
send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
[12]That they all might be damned
who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
3. God will surely answer the prayers of the righteous.
(Psalm 34:17) The righteous cry, and the LORD
heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Proverbs 15:8,29 [8]The sacrifice of the wicked is
an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
[29]The LORD is far from the
wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
(James 5:16) Confess your faults one to
another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent
prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
( I Pet 3:12) For the eyes of the Lord are over
the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the
Lord is against them that do evil.
4. God will honor his prayers for others
(Genesis 18:23,32) [23]And Abraham drew near, and
said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
[32]And he said, Oh let not the
Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be
found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
(Job 42:7-9) [7]And it was so, that after the
LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My
wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not
spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
[8]Therefore take unto you now
seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for
yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him
will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not
spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
[9]So Eliphaz the Temanite and
Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the
LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
Psalms 106:23 Therefore he said that he would
destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn
away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
(Jeremiah 15:1) Then said the LORD unto me, Though
Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people:
cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
(Ezekiel 14:14) Though these three men, Noah,
Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their
righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
5. God will bless him with exceptional abilities and
events
(Genesis 5:24) And Enoch walked with God: and he
was not; for God took him.
( Daniel 11:32) And such as do wickedly against
the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their
God shall be strong, and do exploits.
6. God will bless him at death of the righteous in many
ways
(Numbers 23:10) Who can count the dust of Jacob,
and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the
righteous, and let my last end be like his!
( Proverbs 14:32) The wicked is driven away in his
wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
(Isaiah 57:1-2) [1]The righteous perisheth, and no
man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that
the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
[2]He shall enter into peace: they
shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
* God bless you all always *
