KING DAVID SHOWED HIS DEEP GRATITUDE TO GOD THE FATHER FOR THE MANY GOOD THINGS THAT GOD DID IN HIS LIFE.

 

INTRODUCTION:

a. King David was very thankful of the goodness of God to him.

Psalms 107:1-8 [1]O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

[2]Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

[3]And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

[4]They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

[5]Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

[6]Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

[7]And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

[8]Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

(Psalms 63:1) O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

1. KING DAVID GLORIFY GOD IN THE SANCTUARY.

( Psalms 63:2 ) [2]To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

(Psalms 27:4) One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

2. KING DAVID PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE OF GOD'S LOVINGKINDNESS TO HIM.

( Psalms 63:2 ) [3]Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

3. KING DAVID MADE A COMMITMENT TO PRAISE GOD AS LONG AS HE LIVE.

( Psalms 63:4 ) [4]Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

4. KING DAVID ALWAYS REMEMBER THE GOODNESS OF GOD IN HIS LIFE.

( Psalms 63:5-8 ) [5]My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

[6]When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

[7]Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

[8]My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

5. KING DAVID PUT HIS CONFIDENCE IN GOD FOR TOTAL PROTECTION FROM THE SPIRITUAL ENEMY THAT ALWAYS THREAT HIS LIFE.

[9]But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

( Psalms 63:10 ) [10]They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
