[Y] [PREACHING LESSON 11:] LOOKING BACK THE THINGS GOD HATH IN OUR LIVES IN 2024 AND BE THANKFUL TO HIM ALWAYS

LOOKING BACK THE THINGS GOD HATH IN OUR LIVES IN 2024 AND BE THANKFUL TO HIM ALWAYS

(Psalms 65:1-13) [1](To the chief Musician, A Psalm and Song of David.) Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

[2]O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

[3]Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

[4]Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

[5]By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

[6]Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:

[7]Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

[8]They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

[9]Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

[10]Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

[11]Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

[12]They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

[13]The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

* THE GREAT THINGS GOD HATH DONE IN THE FAST THAT WE SHOULD BE THANKFUL OF.

1.GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS AND WE VERY THANKFUL TO HIM AND WE VERY THANKFULTOHIM.

(Psalms 65:2) O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

2. GOD FORGIVES OUR SINS AND WE ARE VERYTHANKFULTOHIM.

( Psalms 65:3 ) Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

3. GOD BLESSESS US OF GOOD THINGS IN HIS HOUSE AND WE AREVERYTHANKFULTO HIM.

He fills us with the good things of His house

( Psalms 65:4 ) Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

4. GOD REWARDED US WITH TERRIBLE THINGS WHICH THOU KNOWEST NOT AND WE ARE VERY THANKFULTOHIM.

( Psalms 65:5 ) By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

( Jeremiah 33:3 ) Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

5. GOD PROTECTED US FROM OUR SPIRITUAL ENEMY AND WE VERY THANKFUL TO HIM.

( Psalms 65-5-7 ) [5]They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.

[6]Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

[7]And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

6. GOD DOES HIS PEOPLE OF WONDERFUL THINGS AND WE ARE VERY THANKFUL TO HIM.

( Psalms 65:8 ) And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

( Hebrews 10:17-18 ) Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these [is], [there is] no more offering for sin.

7. GOD SENDS RAIN AND MAKE THE LAND FERTILE AND SENDS ABUNDANT BLESSINGS AND WE ARE VERY THANKFUL TO HIM.

( Psalms 65:9-13) [9]Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

* God blesses His people of bountiful blessings that we do not deserve to receive.

* Let us be thankful to God for all the blessings that we received in 2024.

( I Thessalonians 5:18 ) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

(Psalms 92:1-4,6-15) [1]It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

[2]To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

[3]Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

[4]For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

[6]A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

[7]When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

[8]But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

[9]For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

[10]But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

[11]Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

[12]The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

[13]Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

[14]They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

[15]To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

* God bless you all always *
