[X] [PREACHING LESSON 3:] SAD SAD CONDITION OF PEOPLE THAT WITHOUT CHRIST.

SAD SAD CONDITION OF PEOPLE THAT WITHOUT CHRIST.

(Ephesians 2:12) [12]That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

* INTRODUCTION:

a. Paul spoke to Christian when he said " that from that time ye were without Christ.

b. So Paul was explaining to Christian what the sad condition of them before when are without Christ.

c. Paul explained it one by one so that they can appreciate now that they have Christ in their life.

1. WITHOUT CHRIST ARE ALIEN FROM THE THE COMMONWEALTH OF ISRAEL.

Ephesians 2:12 [12]That at that time ye were without Christ, " being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel,"

* They aliens mean we are belong to the chosen people of God.  Israel are chosen people God literally but Christians are chosen people of God spiritually.

* Believers of Christ are chosen generation of God. We are belong to the family of God.

(John 1:12-13) [12]But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

[13]Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

2. WITHOUT CHRIST ARE STRANGERS FROM THE COVENANTS OF PROMISE.

(Ephesians 2:12) [12] strangers from the covenants of promise,

* Without the promise of eternal life. This is the wonderful and greatest promise to those who have Christ in their life.

John 3:16-18 [16]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

[17]For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

[18]He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

* Those who are without Christ are condemned already in hell fire forever and ever.

* ( John 3:36) He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

*( John 5:24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

*( I John 5:13) These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

3. GODS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT ENOUGH TO OVERCOME IN OUR DEEP CRISSIS IN CHRISTIAN LIFE.

(II Corinthians 12:9) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

* Paul experiences the sufficient grace of during his deep sickness even though he faces a sentence of death in his life. God promise of perfect deliverance from his sickness.

( II Corinthians 1:4-10) [4]Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

[5]For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

[6]And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

[7]And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

[8]For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

[9]But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

[10]Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

4. GOD'S GRACE THOUGH IT IS SUFFICIENT BUT IT IS TO NOT PROMISE TO SINNING CHRISTIAN.

( Romans 6:1-2) [1]What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

[2]God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

* Christians are already dead to sin because our sin was crucified together with Christ on the cross of calvary.

(Romans 6:6-12) [6]Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

[7]For he that is dead is freed from sin.

[8]Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

[9]Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

[10]For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

[11]Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

[12]Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

5. GOD'S GRACE CAN DO GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT TO CHRISTIAN WHO LABOUR MORE IN GOD'S MINISTRY BECAUSE OF BOUNTIFUL GRACE OF GOD.

(ICorinthians 15:10) But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

a. Paul grab all the opportunity to give his best to serve the Lord because of the abundant grace of God in his Ministry.

* It was by the grace of God he labored more in the Ministry of God and the grace of God was not in vain that bestowed upon his life.

* God bless you all always *
