GROW IN GRACE IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE TO EXPERIENCE BY GOD’S PEOPLE.
* INTRODUCTION:
a. Growing in grace is growing in your spiritual life and in all aspects
of your Christian life is possible to Christian who are faithful in their
devotion in a daily basis.
( Joshua 1:8 ) This book of the law shall not
depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that
thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then
thou shall have good success.
b. The Lord design the life of new believers in Christ to grow in their
Christian life by matured people inside the local Church God assign the new
believers to grow in their Christian life.
( Ephesians 4: 11-16
) [11]And he
gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,
pastors and teachers;
[12]For the perfecting of the
saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
[13]Till we all come in the unity
of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto
the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
[14]That we henceforth be no more
children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by
the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to
deceive;
[15]But speaking the truth in
love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
[16]From whom the whole body fitly
joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to
the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body
unto the edifying of itself in love.
c. From being baby Christian or new believers to help them grow to be
Matured and strong Christian.
( Ephesians 4:14-16
) [14]That
we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with
every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby
they lie in wait to deceive;
[15]But speaking the truth in
love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
[16]From whom the whole body fitly
joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to
the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body
unto the edifying of itself in love.
d. This is the reason why To Grow In
Grace for the Christians are always possible to all believers of Christ.
SIX GREAT POSSIBLE THINGS FOR THE
CHRISTIANS TO GROW IN GRACE.
1. GROW IN GRACE IN KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
( IPeter 3:18 ) But grow in grace, and in the
knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and
for ever. Amen.
( Colossians 1:9 ) For this cause we also, since the
day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be
filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual
understanding;
2. GROW IN GRACE IN GENUINELY LOVING THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST.
( Ephesians 6:24 ) Grace be with all them that love
our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. (To the Ephesians written from Rome,
by Tychicus.)
( John 14: 15 ) If ye love me, keep my
commandments.
( II Corinthians 5:
14 ) For the
love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for
all, then were all dead:
( 1Peter 1:8 ) Whom having not seen, ye love; in
whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable
and full of glory:
3. GROW IN GRACE IN HUMILITY AND ELIMINATING SIN IN OUR
LIVES.
( James 4:6-8 ) [6]But he giveth more grace.
Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
[7]Submit yourselves therefore to
God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[8]Draw nigh to God, and he will
draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye
double minded.
( I Peter 5: 6 ) Humble yourselves therefore under
the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
4. GROW IN GRACE IN SERVING GOD WITH FAITHFULNESS.
( Acts 20:19-21 ) [19]Serving the Lord with all
humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the
lying in wait of the Jews:
[20]And how I kept back nothing
that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you
publickly, and from house to house,
[21]Testifying both to the Jews,
and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus
Christ.
( I Timothy 1:12 ) And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord,
who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the
ministry;
( Joshua 24:15 ) And if it seem evil unto you to
serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which
your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of
the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve
the LORD.
5. GROW IN GRACE IN LOVING AND WINNING LOST PEOPLE AT ANY
COST.
( John 9:4-5 ) [4]I must work the works of him
that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
[5]As long as I am in the world, I
am the light of the world.
( I Corinthians
9:19-22 ) [19]For
though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I
might gain the more.
[20]And unto the Jews I became as
a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the
law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
[21]To them that are without law,
as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,)
that I might gain them that are without law.
[22]To the weak became I as weak,
that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by
all means save some.
6. GROW IN GRACE IN LIBERAL GIVING TO WORK OF THE LORD.
( II Corinthians
8:1-5 ) [1]Moreover,
brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of
Macedonia;
[2]How that in a great trial of
affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the
riches of their liberality.
[3]For to their power, I bear
record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;
[4]Praying us with much intreaty
that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the
ministering to the saints.
[5]And this they did, not as we
hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of
God.
( Philippians
4:15-19 ) [15]Now ye
Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed
from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and
receiving, but ye only.
[16]For even in Thessalonica ye
sent once and again unto my necessity.
[17]Not because I desire a gift:
but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
[18]But I have all, and abound: I
am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you,
an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
[19]But my God shall supply all
your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
* God bless you you all always *
