THE WAY OF
THE LORD IS STRENGTH TO THE UPRIGHT OR TO THE RIGHTEOUS CHRISTIAN.
(Proverbs 10:29) The way of the LORD is strength to
the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
* INTRODUCTION:
a. The contrast of the upright is ungodly. Ungodly are referred to the
lost or unbelievers or people without relationship with God.
b. Strength speaks of the multiple promises of God to upright or
righteous Christians.
c. This is also the promise to Christian who will live a righteous
living. So, this is for you to know this multiple promises of God.
(Psalms 1:6) For the LORD knoweth the way of
the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
5 GREAT THINGS FOR THIS TOPIC ABOUT THE STRENGHT OF THE
UPRIGHT.
1. THE PROMISE OF STRENGHT SPEAK OF GOD'S PROMISE TO
BLESS THE WALK OF THE UPRIGHT SURE WALK WITH GOD'S GUIDANCE.
(Proverbs 10:9) He that walketh uprightly walketh
surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
a. There is an assurance of God's guidance of the walk of the righteous
Christian.
( Psalms 37:23-24) [23]The steps of a good man are
ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
[24]Though he fall, he shall not
be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
2. THE PROMISE OF STRENGHT SPEAKS OF GOD'S BLESSING TO
THE MOUTH OF THE RIGHTEOUS CHRISTIAN.
(Proverbs 10:11) The mouth of a righteous man is a
well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
a. God will give us a mouth that will be a blessing to those who listen
to us.
(Colossians 4:6) Let your speech be alway with
grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
b. Philip open his mouth to tell about Jesus Christ.
( Acts 8:34-35) [34]And the eunuch answered
Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself,
or of some other man?
[35]Then Philip opened his mouth,
and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
3. THE PROMISE OF STRENGHT SPEAKS THAT THE LABOUR OF THE
UPRIGHT CHRISTIAN WILL BE BLESS BY GOD.
(Proverbs 10:16) The labour of the righteous
tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
a. God will bless the labour of a God fearing Christian.
( Psalms 128:1-4) [1] Blessed is every one that
feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
[2]For thou shalt eat the labour
of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
[3]Thy wife shall be as a fruitful
vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about
thy table.
[4]Behold, that thus shall the man
be blessed that feareth the LORD.
* (Proverbs 10:27) The fear of the LORD prolongeth
days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
4. THE PROMISE OF STRENGHT SPEAKS OF HOPE AND GLADNESS TO
THE RIGHTEOUS CHRISTIAN.
(Proverbs 10:28) The hope of the righteous shall be
gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
a. God promise of gladness in the life of the righteous Christian.
(Psalms 32:10-11) [10]Many sorrows shall be to the
wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
[11]Be glad in the LORD, and
rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
5. THE PROMISE OF STRENGHT SPEAKS OF CONTINUES STRENGHT
AND STABILITY IN THE OF THE CHRISTIAN.
(Proverbs 10:29-30) [29]The way of the LORD is
strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
[30]The righteous shall never be
removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
* ( I Peter 5:10) But the God of all grace, who hath
called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a
while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
