IN CHRIST WE CAN HAVE VICTORY
(1 Corinthians 15:57) [57]But thanks be to God, which giveth us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 John 5:4-5) [4]For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the
world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
[5]Who is
he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of
God?
(1 John 4:4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome
them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
* God is greater that lives in our
lives than our enemy the Devil that is in the World.
* FIVE GREAT PROMISES OF GOD TO CLAIM
BY THE CHRISTIANS.
1. THIS IS THE PROMISE FOR ALL BORN
AGAIN CHRISTIAN.
(1John 5:4-5) [4]For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the
world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
[5]Who is
he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of
God?
a. This is the great promise of God
for the born again Christian.
b. The faith of the born again
Christians overcometh the World, God said.
(I John 5:4) " For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the
world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world,
even our faith."
2. THIS IS THE PROMISE TO THE
RIGHTEOUS CHRISTIAN
(Psalms 1:6) For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but
the way of the ungodly shall perish.
a. Victory over the way and counsel
of the ungodly.
(Psalms 1:1) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel
of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of
the scornful.
3. THIS IS THE PROMISE OF GOD TO THE
HUMBLE AND SUBMISSIVE CHRISTIAN.
(James 4:6-8) [6]But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God
resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
[7]Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[8]Draw
nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and
purify your hearts, ye double minded.
[9]Be
afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and
your joy to heaviness.
[10]Humble
yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
4. THIS IS THE PROMISE OF GOD TO
SUPPORTIVE CHRISTIAN TO THE MISSION WORK.
(Philippians 4:15-19) [15]Now ye Philippians know also, that in the
beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated
with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
[16]For
even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
[17]Not
because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
[18]But I
have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things
which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable,
wellpleasing to God.
[19]But my
God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ
Jesus.
5. THIS IS THE PROMISE OF GOD TO
FRUITFUL SOULWINNERS CHRISTIANS .
(John 15:8,15-16) [8]Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much
fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
[13]Greater
love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
[14]Ye are
my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
[15]Henceforth
I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I
have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have
made known unto you.
[16]Ye
have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go
and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye
shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
a. Christ treat the soulwinners a
great respect and called us not servants but His friends and co-laborer in His
vineyard. Big Amen and Amen!
* God bless you all always *
