[U] [PREACHING LESSON 6:] WHEN GOD SAID TO DAVID THE THINGS THAT DAVID DID NOT PLEASE THE LORD, DO YOU THINK GOD IS JUDGING KING DAVID?

WHEN GOD SAID TO DAVID THE THINGS THAT DAVID DID NOT PLEASE THE LORD, DO YOU THINK GOD IS JUDGING KING DAVID?

( II Samuel 11:27 ) “And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD.”

* INTRODUCTION:

 a. When God said to Prophet Nathan the " the things that David did, did not please the Lord do we think God is judge or God is showing that He is against of what David did of getting Bathsheba to wife displease the Lord.

b. Now my question to you and me. If Christian did in the eye of God, do you think God is judging you, or God is accusing you?

c. Yes believe that is a degree of seen that Christians are doing. There is sin not to death and there is a sin that is sin unto death. Like of immorality is a sin unto death.

(1 Corinthians 5:1-3,4-5) ⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁵ To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1. WHEN GOD SAID DO NOT FORSAKES THE ASSEMBLY… IS JUDGING YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT FAITHFUL IN WORSHIP.

(Hebrews10:25) “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

a. Jerusalem Church set a good example Church for being faithful to worship God.

(Acts 2:46-47) ⁴⁶ And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

⁴⁷ Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

b. King David is always excited to Worship God in His Temple.

(Psalms 122:1) I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”

2. WHEN COMMANDED YOU TO SEEK HIM FIRST… IS JUDGING YOU THAT YOU ARE NOT GIVING GOD THE PRIORITY IN YOUR DAILY LIFE.

(Mathew 6:33) “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

a. King David seek God very early to give Him the first priority in his life.

(Psalms 63:1-6) ¹ (A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.) O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

² To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

³ Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

⁴ Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

⁵ My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

⁶ When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

⁷ Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

3. WHEN GOD COMMANDED YOU TO CONFESS YOUR SIN ONE TO ANOTHER… IS JUDGING YOU THAT YOU ARE CONTINUING IN SINNING.

(James 5:16) “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

a. King David acknowledge his sin before God.

(Psalms 32:1-5) ¹ (A Psalm of David, Maschil.) Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

² Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

³ When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

⁴ For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

⁵ I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

4. WHEN GOD REBUKING THE CHRISTIANS OF NOT GIVING YOUR TITHES AND OFFERRING FAITHFULLY… HE IS JUDGING YOU.

( Malachi 3: 8-10 ) ⁸ Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

⁹ Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

¹⁰ Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

a. Macedonian Church are very faithful in their giving to the Lord.

( II Corinthians 8:1-5) ¹ Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

² How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

³ For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

⁴ Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

⁵ And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

b. The Macedonian Church give bountifully and cheerfully with the purpose of their heart to the Lord

( II Corinthians 9:6-7) ⁶ But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

⁷ Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

c. God said it is blessed to give than to receive.

(Acts 20:35) “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

5. WHEN GOD COMMANDED THE CHURCH TO GOD SOULWINNING IS JUDGING YOU THAT YOU ARE THAT YOU ARE DISOBEYING THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST?

(Mathew 28:19-20) ¹⁹ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.  Amen.

a. Jerusalem Church are very courageous in fulfilling the great commission of the Lord Jesus. Because even there is a threat of their lives still, they have the courage to share the gospel of Christ to the lost people. Big Amen and amen.

( Acts 5:26-29) ²⁶ Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

²⁷ And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

²⁸ Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

²⁹ Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

b. The growth of the Church grows dynamically because their faithfulness in the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(Acts 6:4-7) ⁴ But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

⁵ And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

⁶ Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

⁷ And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

* God bless you all always. *
