[U] [PREACHING LESSON 4:] WHEN DISCIPLINE THE CHRISTIAN HE DO IT AS HIS DEAR CHILDREN.

WHEN DISCIPLINE THE CHRISTIAN HE DO IT AS HIS DEAR CHILDREN.

*INTRODUCTION:

a. God the Father will also show His love and concern to all Christian as His dear Children.

( Psalms 121:4-8) 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

b. That is how express His love and affection to the believers of Christ as His dear Children.

c. But God is always reminding us to equally yoke with the unbelievers and do all the sinful things of the unbeliever or the lost people in the World.

d. If Christian will live sinful life style of the unbelievers God will discipline us as His dear Children.

( Hebrews 12:5-11) 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

1.GOD DISCIPLINE HIS CHILDREN PROVING THEM AS HIS DEAR SON AND A BASTARD.

(Hebrews 12:6-8) 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

2. GOD DISCIPLINEHIS CHILDREN FOR THEIR OWN GOOD NOT TO DISCOURAGE THEM.

( Hebrews 12:10 ) For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

3. GOD DISCIPLINE HIS CHILDREN NOT SEEMETH JOYFUL BUT THIS LED TO THEIR OWN GOOD.

( Hebrews 12:11 ) Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

4. GOD DISCIPLINE HIS CHILDREN TO SEE THEIR UNDER SUBJECT THAT THE LORD IS PLEASED.

( Hebrews 12:9 ) Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

* God bless you all always *
