"THE MUST CONVICTION OF A COMMITTED
CHURCH IN FULFILLING THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST."
(John 9:4-5) [4]I must work the works of him
that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
[5]As long as I am in the world, I
am the light of the world.
[4]I must work the works of him
that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
[5]As long as I am in the world, I
am the light of the world.
*INTRODUCTION:
a. The Lord Jesus Christ is our prime example in having commitment in
fulfilling the great commission of God.
* Must: Be compel, be obligated to do the job.
(John 4:4) And he must needs go through
Samaria.
(John 9:4) I must work the works of him that
sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
* To Christ Mission Planting is a great work. So, to us Missions is a
great work.
a. To Christ fulfilling the great commission of God need to be committed
to assure the great victory of fulfilling the great commission of the Lord
Jesus Christ.
b. To Christ Mission Planting is a must to assure to reach lost people
up the end of the World.
(Mathew 28:19-20) [19]Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Ghost:
[20]Teaching them to observe all
things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto
the end of the world. Amen.
1. THE MUST TO FACE THE CHALLENGE TO FULFILL THE GREAT
COMMISSION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Amen.
a. Mission Planting is always a great Church to the local and we need to
have committed spirit of the of the local Church.
( Acts 16:8-10) [8]And they passing by Mysia came
down to Troas.
[9]And a vision appeared to Paul
in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over
into Macedonia, and help us.
[10]And after he had seen the
vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering
that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
b. Mission Planting always the priority goal of a strong Church. We
never Planting more Missions.
( Acts 2:41) Then they that gladly received his
word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three
thousand souls.
* To Christ Mission Planting is a must and we need a committed Church.
2. THE MUST TO FOLLOW THE FOOT STEP OF THE LORD JESUS
CHRIST IN FULFILLING THE GREAT COMMISSION.
(John 9:4-5) [4]I must work the works of him
that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
[5]As long as I am in the world, I
am the light of the world.
a. A committed Church to plant more Missions always follow the footsteps
of the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Acts 11:19-24)
Acts 11:19-24 [19]Now they which were scattered
abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as
Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews
only.
[20]And some of them were men of
Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the
Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
[21]And the hand of the Lord was
with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
[22]Then tidings of these things
came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth
Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
[23]Who, when he came, and had
seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of
heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
[24]For he was a good man, and
full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
* The disciples of Christ follow the steps of the Lord Jesus Christ in
reaching and winning the lost at any cost.
(Mark 1:16-18) [16]Now as he walked by the sea of
Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for
they were fishers.
[17]And Jesus said unto them, Come
ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
[18]And straightway they forsook
their nets, and followed him.
3. THE MUST TO FOCUS ON THE GREAT HARVEST OF PRECIOUS
SOULS
(John 4:35) [35]Say not ye, There are yet four
months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and
look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
a. To focus on the great harvest of precious souls Christ challenges His
disciples. Because His disciples focus on self-looking for food eat. Instead to
focus on precious souls.
(John 4:31-35) [31]In the mean while his
disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
[32]But he said unto them, I have
meat to eat that ye know not of.
[33]Therefore said the disciples
one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
[34]Jesus saith unto them, My meat
is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
[35]Say not ye, There are yet four
months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and
look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
b. Christ always focus on precious souls in the Mission field.
(Mathew 9:35-36) [35]And Jesus went about all the
cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of
the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
[36]But when he saw the
multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and
were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
c. Jerusalem Church was always focus on many souls to be saved inspires
of the threat and hindrances they experienced in planting Mission work.
( Acts 5:26-29) [26]Then went the captain with the
officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest
they should have been stoned.
[28]Saying, Did not we straitly
command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled
Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
[29]Then Peter and the other
apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
* The local Church always focus on many precious souls to be saved.
( Acts 2:41) Then they that gladly received his
word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three
thousand souls.
* Souls of the Lord are very precious before God.
(Mark 8:36) For what shall it profit a man, if
he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
4. THE MUST TO FAITHFULNESS TO ASSURE TO FINISH OUR
CALLING TO FULLFIL THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WITH JOY.
(Acts 20:24) But none of these things move me,
neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with
joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the
gospel of the grace of God.
a. Paul was a good example of very committed in fulfilling the great
commission of the Lord Jesus Christ. Because in spites of many threats that he
experienced no one can stop him to finish his calling to fulfill the great
commission of the Lord Jesus Christ with joy for the glory of God.
(2 Timothy 4:2-7) [2]Preach the word; be instant in
season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and
doctrine.
[3]For the time will come when
they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap
to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
[4]And they shall turn away their
ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
[5]But watch thou in all things,
endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy
ministry.
[6]For I am now ready to be
offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
[7]I have fought a good fight, I
have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
b. Paul encourage the Church to be strong in the Lord so that we
continue to fulfill the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ with
faithfulness.
(Ephesians 6:10-18) [10]Finally, my brethren, be
strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[11]Put on the whole armour of
God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12]For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13]Wherefore take unto you the
whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand.
[14]Stand therefore, having your
loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15]And your feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16]Above all, taking the shield
of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the
wicked.
[17]And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
[18]Praying always with all prayer
and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance
and supplication for all saints;
c. Paul gave a serious reminder to be strong always because our enemy
the Devil is always ready to received and discourage the Church to change our
focus and the Church are not united to be faithful to fulfill the great
commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.
* Our enemy is not flesh and blood the bible said but the evil forces
the Devil.
( Ephesians 6:11-12)
[11]Put on
the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the
devil.
[12]For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
5. THE MUST TO FRUITFULNESS IN FULFILLING THE COMMISSION
OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
(Acts 6:4-7) [4]But we will give ourselves
continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
[5]And the saying pleased the
whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy
Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and
Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
[6]Whom they set before the
apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
[7]And the word of God increased;
and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great
company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
a. The Church are in a winning side. Because God always support the
Mission Minded Church.
b. The are always on the winning side we always give value on winning
more lost people.
( Acts 4:4) Howbeit many of them which heard
the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
( Acts 5:42 ) And daily in the temple, and in
every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
c. God is glorified because of the fruitfulness of the Church.
( John 15:8) Herein is my Father glorified,
that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
d. Christ promise to answer the prayers of the Mission-Minded
( John 15:16) Ye have not chosen me, but I have
chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that
your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my
name, he may give it you.
* A COMMITTED Mission Minded Church is very fruitful Church.
( Acts 11:20-24) [20]And some of them were men of
Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the
Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
* God bless you all always.*
