SOME GREAT AND WONDERFUL WORK OF GOD IN THE MIDST OF THE  CHURCH THAT ASSURED GREAT HARVEST IN THE MISSION FIELD.

( Psalms 126:5-6 ) 5. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6.He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

INTRODUCTION:

*God assures us of a great harvest in Mission work. It is not based on secular ways to assure great harvest. It is not in the ability of God’s servants or Missionaries in the Mission field but God has His Biblical Formula to assure us how to have a great harvest in the Mission Field.

6 GREAT AND WONDERFUL WORKS OF GOD THAT ASSURES GREAT HARVEST IN THE MISSION FIELD

1. MUCH TEARS SOWN ASSURES A GREAT HARVEST IN THE MISSION FIELD.

( Psalms 126:5-6 )  5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

* God’s formula for a sure harvest for the Lord’s precious souls is the Lord’s concern for the salvation of the lost. Maybe they are your loved-ones or not. They are precious souls that needs to be saved.

*  I read a story about a woman who always went to church praying for her husband. And the woman asked her Pastor after worship. Pastor, I am praying for the salvation of my husband. But till now I have prayed several times for his salvation but still he is not saved. The Pastor said to the wife, "Have you cried your wife in prayer to God?" The husband said no. I prayed for my husband's salvation with tears.

( Psalms 56:8 ) Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

( Psalms 126:5-6) 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

* Tears are evidence of our deep desire for our lost sinful loved ones to be saved.

* Praying with tears for the salvation of our loved ones shows our humility before God.

( James 4:6 ) But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

* Our prayer with tears will be rewarded by God with His grace for the salvation of our dear loved ones. Amen and amen.

2. MUCH PRAYERS SOWN ASSURES A GREAT HARVEST IN THE MISSIONS FIELD.

( Acts 1:13-15 ) 13.And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

14. These all continued with one accord in prayer and4 supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

15.And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

* Paul prayed for the salvation of Israelites. Because he believes we need it for the salvation of lost people. We have so many relatives and dear loved ones who really need them. Honestly, I have many relatives who are not saved yet and I need to pray for them.

Church members or Christians we need to pray much for the salvation of our dear loved ones.

* I remember Pastor Morada during the funeral service of my Tatay Abraham. He approached and told me. Jimmy, do know that your Dad prayed and cried that Jimmy might be saved. I said I do not know that my Dad pray for the Salvation of my soul.

* Pastor told me that during the Pastor’s Camp in Makiling he saw my Dad at midnight he saw my Dad praying for the Salvation of Jimmy his son.

( Jeremiah 33:3 ) Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

* God's perfect formula for the sure harvest of souls in Missions is Prayer.

* The many things we enjoy and great happen in the work of the Lord because we continue in much prayers in mission work.

( Acts 6:4-7 ) 4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

* A prayerful Church and a prayerful Missions assures much harvest in the Ministry of the Lord. More prayers more power from above. Amen and amen!

3. MUCH SACRIFICE IN GIVING SOWN ASSURES A GREAT HARVEST TO THE MISSION FIELD.

(II Corinthians 8:1-5) Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

2.How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

3.For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

4.Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

5.And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God

Paul used the good example of sacrificial offering of Macedonian Church. They gave to the work of the Lord more than what Paul expect. Paul said they because first their own self first willingly and readily the Bible said.

( II Corinthian 8:5 ) And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

* They willingly and readily gave their sacrificial offering.

( 2 Corinthians  11-12 ) 11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

* They gave to the Missions because of their love for God and their love for the Mission

( 2 Corinthians  9 :6-7 ) 6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

* Their giving is a bountiful giving to Mission work.

* Paul was happy and express his deep appreciation of the Philippian Church for their love and support to Paul’s Mission work.

( Philippians 4:15-16 ) 15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

Church the Mission work needs much giving of Gods people inside the local Church. The work of the Lord is great and honorable the bible said in (Psalms 111:2-4 )

Our experience in our Church, we need to raise at least 30K pesos for the Missions every week. In 4 weeks is 120k pesos to support more 40 Missionaries, 2000 pesos per head for 35 Missionaries and 10 Missionaries of 3000 pesos for each Missionary.

* Church continues to give much for Missions for they need much in their Mission work.

4. MUCH EFFORT & UNITY SOWN ASSURES A GREAT HARVEST IN THE MISSION FIELD.

( I Corinthians 15:58 ) 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

( Psalms 133;1-3 ) Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

2. It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3. As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

5. MUCH BOLDNESS AND COURAGE SOWN ASSURES A GREAT HARVEST IN MISSION FIELD.

( John 9:4-5 ) 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

* The Lord Jesus Christ is our prime Model doing the work of in Missions. Daily work in Missions is a must for the Lord Jesus Christ.

* Christ has a firm plan for doing the work in the Missions. Christ will make the Missions His priority while still on this earth, Christ said again.

Jerusalem Church are very courageous and bold to speak and preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

* Jerusalem Church are very courageous and with boldness to obey God to fulfill the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

( Acts 5:17-20 ) 17 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees ,) and were filled with indignation,

18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,

20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

(Acts 5:26-29 ) 26. Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

27.And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

28.Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

29Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

* Jerusalem soulwinners even they were imprisoned no one can stop them to share the gospel of Christ with boldness and courage. They strongly that " They ought to obey God rather than men. To God be the glory.

6.Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

7.And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

* We need Godly and faithful and filled by the Holy Spirit in the Mission work. To assure great harvest of precious souls in the Mission work.

*This is the reward of God to the Mission Minded Church with godly men and women who work faithfully in the Mission work.

( Acts 2:41 ) Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

* The fruitfulness of the Mission is Results of Much Tears, Much Prayers, Much Unity, Much Sacrificial giving, Much Labor with Courage in the Mission work.

* Fruitfulness is not an accidental experience of a soul winner in Mission work but it is clear evidence that Missions work together to reach and win valuable souls in the Mission field.

* Lastly, very good results of dedicated Missionaries in their Mission work due to the dynamic growth of the Lord's Ministry.

7.And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

* Conclusion

* Let's go back again to God's formula of " Sure Much Harvest In The Mission Field."

* ( Psalms 126:5-6 ) 4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

* GOD'S FORMULA IS PERFECT FOR WE HAVE A PERFECT GOD WHO COMMANDED US TO GO INTO WORLD AND PLANT MORE MISSIONS.
