[L] [PREACHING LESSON 6:] THE BEAUTIFUL SPIRITUAL ATTITUDES OF THE CHRISTIANS THAT WILL BRING THE CHURCH CLOSER TO GOD

 THE BEAUTIFUL SPIRITUAL ATTITUDES OF THE CHRISTIANS THAT WILL BRING THE CHURCH CLOSER TO GOD.

( Romans 10:15-16 ) 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

* The Bible speak about about the beautiful feet of the Christian for reaching more lost sinners and win them to Church. This great thing will bring us closer to God.

1. THE SEEKING GOD FIRST IS A GOOD ATTITUDE OF THE CHRISTIAN THAT WILL BRING THEM CLOSER TO GOD.

( Mathew 6:33 ) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

2. THE SACRIFICE ATTITUDE IN TIMES OF TRIALS AND TROUBLE OF THE CHRISTIAN WILL BRING THEM CLOSER TO GOD.

( I Peter 4:13-16 ) 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

3. THE SANCTIFIED ATTITUDE LIFE OF THE CHRISTIAN WILL BRING THEM CLOSER TO GOD.

( John 17: 17-19 ) Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

* Paul encourage the Christian to be holy in all manners of conversation.

( I Peter 1:15-16 ) But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

4. THE SUBMISSIVE ATTITUDE OF THE CHRISTIAN TO GOD WILL BRING THEM CLOSER TO GOD.

( James 4:6-7 ) But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

5. THE SOULWINNING HEART ATTITUDE OF THE CHRISTIAN WILL THEM BRING CLOSER TO GOD.

( Romans 10:1 ) Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

6. THE SOLD OUT GIVING ATTITUDE OF THE CHRISTIAN WILL BRING THEM CLOSER TO GOD.

( II Corinthians 8:1-5 ) Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

* God loveth a cheerful giver Christian.

( II Corinthians 9:6-7 ) But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Conclusion:

( Psalms 73 :28 ) But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

* God bless you all always *
