THE CALL FOR AN URGENCY TO WIN THE LOST
AT ANY COST.
(II Timothy 4:1-7) 1 I charge thee therefore before
God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his
appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in
season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and
doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their
ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things,
endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy
ministry.
6 For I am now ready to be
offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 I have fought a good fight, I
have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
INTRODUCTION:
* URGENCY - means: * giving force or impulse that impels or constrains:
URGE
* The bibles verses that we read showed a spirit of URGENCY: Preach the
Word be instant in season and out of season.
* God commanded the Church with
force or an immediate action to reach the lost at any cost.
* Tell the story of Church worker whom we brought to the hospital
because this Church worker took an overdose of medicine for asthma and hard
breath so we brought her to Our Church worker who took an overdose of medicine
for asthma. At 2 am in the Morning we brought the church at the Hospital and we
saw a family in a hurry carrying their father and rush to the hospital. The put
in my mind that the family are concern for the Physical of men but we Christian
but our concern is the Salvation of lost people.
* Church, we need to have an urgency to rescue the lost sinners in our community.
The need more concern Soulwinner to win them to Christ.
a. The Lord Jesus Christ our prime model in having urgency in winning
lost people.
( John 9:4-5 ) 4 I must work the works of him
that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I
am the light of the world.
* To Christ Soulwinning is a must work of every individual Christian.
* Christ concerned is while it is or while we have the opportunity to
win lost people.
* Christ is very obedient to God the Father that sent Him to do the
great and urgent job to win lost people.
* Christ are with total conviction to win lost people in verse 5 He
said.
"( John 9 :5 ) As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the
world.
* We need more Soulwinners with conviction in soulwinning. Let's pray
more Soulwinners who are faithful and sold out and courageous in winning lost
people.
* Paul is our good example for being faithful Soulwinner of the Lord
Jesus Christ.
( I Corinthians
9:21-22 ) 19 For
though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I
might gain the more.
20 And unto the Jews I became as a
Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the
law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them that are without law,
as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,)
that I might gain them that are without law.
22 To the weak became I as weak,
that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by
all means save some.
* Let's proceeds to our main 5 points of our topic THE URGENCY OF
WINNING THE LOST."
1. THERE IS THE NEED TO HAVE URGENCY TO RESCUE THE LOST
AT ANY COST.
( II Timothy 4:2 ) 1 I charge thee therefore before
God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his
appearing and his kingdom;
* God gave the serious warning that he will judge the quick and the
dead.
* So this is serious challenge of to all Christian inside the local
Church that God is counting on us to reach the lost urgency because He gave the
warning that God will judge the quick and the dead at the judgement day.
( II Corinthians
5:10 ) For we
must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive
the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good
or bad.
* God will judge us base on our accountability for the lost to win the
lost base on the opportunity God hath given to us to win the lost at any cost.
* TAKE NOTE THIS SERIUOS BIBLE VERSE.
(Ephesians 2:12) 12 That at that time ye were
without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers
from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
* These lost sinners are without Christ the bible said.
* They are without the promise of eternal life.
* They lost people that without hope and without God in this World.
* We need to rescue them with urgency as long as God is giving us the
opportunity.
( Ephesians 5:16 ) 16 Redeeming the time, because the
days are evil.
* Christ challenge us to double our effort in winning lost people
because the enemy of the work to deceive many double time.

2.THERE IS AN URGENCY TO PREACH OR SHARE THE GOSPEL OF
CHRIST TO THE LOST PEOPLE.
(2 Timothy 4:2) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of
season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
* Paul encourages us to preach the Word in season and out of season.
* What Paul was saying to the
soulwinners this is now right time to make busier the Lord because many
precious are very willing to listen to us. They are waiting for us and their
heart ready to accept Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of their life.
* Lidya are with ready heart to listen and to receive Christ as her Lord
and Savior of her life.
( Acts 16:14 ) 14 And a certain woman named
Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard
us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were
spoken of Paul.
* The Warden who imprison to Paul and Silas are with ready heart also to
received Christ and even the family of Warden they also received the Lord Jesus
Christ in their life.
( Acts 16:30-34 ) 30 And brought them out, and said,
Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the
word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour
of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his,
straightway.
34 And when he had brought them
into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with
all his house.
* The Ethiopian Eunuch also are with ready heart to receive Christ Lord
and Savior of their life.
( Acts 8: 29-38 ) 29 Then the Spirit said unto
Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
30 And Philip ran thither to him,
and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou
readest?
31 And he said, How can I, except
some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit
with him.
32 The place of the scripture
which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb
dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
33 In his humiliation his judgment
was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken
from the earth.
34 And the eunuch answered Philip,
and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of
some other man?
35 Then Philip opened his mouth,
and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
36 And as they went on their way,
they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what
doth hinder me to be baptized?
37 And Philip said, If thou
believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I
believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to
stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the
eunuch; and he baptized him.
* The good example this are the Jerusalem Soulwinners. They have courage
to share the gospel Christ even they were imprisoning and always warn them not
share the gospel of Christ.
( Acts 5:26-29 ) 26 Then went the captain with the
officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest
they should have been stoned.
27 And when they had brought them,
they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
28 Saying, Did not we straitly
command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled
Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
29 Then Peter and the other
apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
* Very strong in their conviction that they " ought to obey God
rather than men." Big Anen and amen!!!
3. THERE IS AN URGENCY TO SHARE THE GOSPEL BECAUSE THE
ENEMY OF THE GOSPEL WILL DECIEVE THE LOST AND LEAD THEM TO HELL FIRE.
( II Timothy 4:3 ) 3 For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears;
* The deceivers the false Christians
are working aggressively and double to time to deceive as many as the to their
false teaching.
( II TIME 4:3-4 ) 3 For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their
ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
* If genuine Christian will not work with urgency to share the we become
too late to reach more lost people. THIS IS SAD SAD SAD.
( II Corithians
11:13-15 ) 13 For
such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the
apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan
himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing
if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose
end shall be according to their works.
The false Christians and false ministers of Satan work double time so we
the genuine Christiams should do double time to reach the lost as soon as possible
before the enemy of the gospel will deceive them.
* Soulwinners, I challenge to reach the lost at any cost at any time and
at any place as soon as possible as we can.
( Jude 1: 23 ) And others save with fear, pulling
them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
* Let's full them out of the fire.!!!
4. THERE IS AN UNGENCY FOR CHRISTIANS BECAUSE GOD CALLED
US TO BE HIS EVANGELIST.
( II Timothy 4:5 ) 5 But watch thou in all things,
endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy
ministry.
* Evangelist or Soulwinners of the Lord Jesus Christ.
* Evangelist are Missionaries of the Lord Jesus Christ.
* Evangelist are called Ministers of Christ to lead the Church and
challenge the congregation to go to the lost World and bring them to Christ at
any cost.
a. Philip did the work of an evangelist when the Holy Spirit led him to
witness the Ethoipian eunuech in the
wilderness.
( Acts 8: 26-36 ) 26 And the angel of the Lord spake
unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth
down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
27 And he arose and went: and,
behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of
the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to
Jerusalem for to worship,
28 Was returning, and sitting in
his chariot read Esaias the prophet.
29 Then the Spirit said unto
Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
30 And Philip ran thither to him,
and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou

31 And he said, How can I, except

( I Corinthians 9:19-22 ) 19 For though I be free from all

law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them that are without law,
as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,)

that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by
all means save some.
c. Peter did also the work of an evangelist.
( Acts 2:36-41 ) Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the
house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye
have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
* We are the extention ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ to reach the
lost at any cost

( Luke 19:10 ) For the Son of man is come to seek
and to save that which was lost.
* Let us reach the lost with urgency like the Lord Jesus Christ as our
prime example. Praise the Lord.
5. THERE IS AN URGENCY TO FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH
FOR THE SALVATION OF SO MANY HOPELESS AND HELPLESS AND PRECIOUS LOST SOULS.
* Because we know the value of each individual souls of sinners so we
will figth the fight of faith in reaching the lost at any cost.
( Mark 8:36 ) 36 For what shall it profit a man,
if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
* Let's fight the good fight of for the salvation of all lost people.
( 1 Timothy 6: 11-12
) 11 But
thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith,
lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a
good profession before many witnesses.
* The Jerusalem Church are Soulwinning Church the fight the good fight
faith even though the enemy of the gospel warn them and persecuted them but no
one can stop them to preach and share the gospel of Church to lost people.
( Acts 5:17-20 ) 17 Then the high priest rose up,
and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees ,) and
were filled with indignation,
18 And laid their hands on the
apostles, and put them in the common prison.
19 But the angel of the Lord by
night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
20 Go, stand and speak in the
temple to the people all the words of this life.
* No one can stop them to win them Christ at any cost. Even they warn
again to be imprisoned.
( Acts 5:26-29 ) 26 Then went the captain with the
officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest
they should have been stoned.
27 And when they had brought them,
they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
28 Saying, Did not we straitly
command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled
Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
29 Then Peter and the other
apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
* The Lord blesses eagerness and urgency of Jerusalem Church in winning
lost people in their community.
( Acts 6:4-7 ) 4 But we will give ourselves
continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
5 And the saying pleased the whole
multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost,
and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a
proselyte of Antioch:
6 Whom they set before the
apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
7 And the word of God increased;
and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great
company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
* The work of the Lord grows dynamically because of the Urgency of the
Jerusalem Church of winning lost people. Big Amen and Amen!!!
