[S] [PREACHING LESSON 20:] THE GREAT MARKS OF STRIVING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST WITH UNITY OF THE CHURCH.

THE GREAT MARKS OF STRIVING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST WITH UNITY OF THE CHURCH.

( Philippians 1:27 ) Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

(Psalms 133:1-3) 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

1.  FOCUS OF THE CHURCH TO STRIVE THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IS THE GREAT MARK.

( John 4:35 ) Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

* CHRIST COMMANDED THE DISCIPLES TO HAVE FOCUS. " LOOK ON THE FIELD.

* THE LORD JESUS CHRIST’S FOCUS ON THE VALUE OF SOULS OF LOST PEOPLE.

(Mark 8:36) For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

* JERUSALEM CHURCH FOCUS WINNING MORE PRECIOUS SOULS OF THE LOST PEOPLE.

( Acts 2:41) Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

* MANY TIMES, THE CHRISTIANS FOCUS ON EARTHLY THINGS

* PAUL ENCOURAGE THE CHRISTIANS TO HEAVENLY THINGS.

( Colossians 3:1-2 ) 1.If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

2. FIRST LOVE OF THE CHURCH TO STRIVE THE GOSPEL OF THE CHRIST IS THE GREAT

( II Corinthians 5:14 ) 14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

* THE LORD JESUS CHRIST FIRST LOVE IS WINNING THE LOST AT COST

( John 9:4-5 ) 4. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5.As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

* CHRIST ALWAYS DESIRE IS FOR ALL SINNERS MIGHT BE SAVED.

( I Timothy 2:4 ) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

* THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN ARE REJOICING BEFORE GOD FOR ONE LOST THAT REPENTETH AND BE SAVED.

( Luke 15:7 ) I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

3. FAITH OF THE CHURCH TO STRIVE THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IS GREAT MARK.

( Hebrews 11:6 ) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

* THE OLD TESTAMENT CHRISTIANS WERE KNOW TO BE VICTORIOUS BECAUSE THEY’RE TO GOD.

(Hebrews 11:32-39)  32.And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

33.Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

34.Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

35.Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

36.And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

37.They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

38.(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

39.And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

* THROUGH FAITH NOAH OBEYED GOD WITH FEAR TO BUILD THE BIGGEST ARK IN THEIR TIME.

( Hebrews 11:7 ) By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

*ABRAHAM OBEYED GOD EVEN HE DO NOT KNOW WHERE HE GO AS GOD COMMANDED HIM TO SEPARATE FROM HIS ADOLTOROUS RELATIVES.

( Hebrews 11:8 ) By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

* NOW WE IN OUR TIME BY FAITH WE WILL BE VICTORIOUS TO STRIVE THE OF CHRIST TO LOST THROUGH FAITH AND FAITH ALONE CAN MAKE IMPOSSIBLE THINGS TO BECOME POSSIBLE.

( Luke 1:37 ) For with God nothing shall be impossible.

4. FAITHFULNESS TO STRIVE THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IS THE GREAT MARK.

( Hebrews 3:5 ) And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

*GOD ENTRUSTED HIS GREAT MINISTRY TO STRONG AND FAITHFUL MEN AND WEMEN OF GOD.

( II Timothy 2:1-2 ) 1.Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2.And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

* PAUL GAVE HIS TESTIMONY THAT GOD COUNTED HIM FAITHFUL AND PUT HIM IN THE MINISTRY.

(I Timothy 1:12) And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

*GOD PLACE US IN THE BODY OF CHRIST WITH PURPOSE OF ALWAYS GLORIFYING AND PLEASING IN OUR LIFE.

( II Timothy 1:9 ) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

( Colossians 1:10 ) That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

5. FILLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO STRIVE THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IS THE GREAT MARK.

( Acts 1:8 ) 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

* THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR PERFECT PARTNER IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD.

* THE HOLY SPIRIT HELP THE CHRISTIAN TO PRAY ACCORDING THE WILL OF GOD TO PRAY.

( Romans 8:26 ) 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

* THE HOLY SPIRIT HELP US TO RIGHT PERSON TO WITNESS AND ALSO TO RIGHT PLACE TO FIND THE PERSON GOD US TO WITNESS.

( Acts 8: 26-35 ) 26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

* THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE US IN ALL THE TRUTH OF THE LORD.

( John 16:13 ) 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

* THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES US ALL THE SPIRITUAL FRUITS THAT WE NEED TO LIVE A DAILY VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN LIFE.

( Galatians 5:22-25 ) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

* TO BE VICTORIOUS TO STRIVE FOR THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST WE NEED TO BE FILLED BY THE HOLY SPRIT.

( Acts  1:8 ) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

6. FRUITFULNESS OF THE CHURCH AS THE RESULT OF STRIVING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST IS THE GREAT MARKS.

( John 15:8 ) Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

* GOD IS GLORIFIED IN THE FRUITFULL LIFE OF THE CHRISTIANS.

* GOD HAS CHOSEN YOU AND I THAT WE BECOME FRUITHFUL IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

( John 15:16 ) Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

* Jerusalem Church are good example of a fruitful Church in their time.

( Acts 2:41 ) Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

( Acts 4:4 ) Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

( Acts 6:4-7 ) 4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

* THE GREAT VICTORY OF THE FOR STRIVING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST WITH UNITY IS THE FRUITFULNESS OF THE CHURCH.

* ( Acts 11: 20-21 ) 20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus.

21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

* God bless you all always*
