[S] [PREACHING LESSON 2:] LET US RISE UP AND BUILD

LET US RISE UP AND BUILD.

( Nehemiah 2:17-18)  17.Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.

18.Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.

( Psalms 133:1-3 )  1.Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

2.It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

3.As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

5 Great Things We Need About the Unity in The Work Of Lord.

1. LET US BE UNITED IN PRAYING.

(Nehemiah 4:9) Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

a. United prayer of the maketh things possible even when look at it as impossible

( Luke 1:37 ) For with God nothing shall be impossible.

( Jeremiah 33:3 ) Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

( II Chronicles 7 :14 ) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2. LET US BE UNITED IN PARTICIPATING IN THE WORK OF THE LORD.

(Nehemiah 4:17-19) They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

18 For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.

19 And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another.

a. There is power unity of working together of every individual church member doing the work of the Lord.

b. To participate in your church building project express your deep to the Lord and the Lord’s work

[2]It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

[3]As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

3. LET US BE UNITED IN GIVING TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE LORD.

( II Corinthians 8:1-5) 1. Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

2.How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

3.For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

4.Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

5.And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

a. Macedonia Church showed as good Model in total sacrifice in giving by giving first their own selves to the Lord. Even though they are in deep poverty abounded but their willingness to give abounded also. Big Amen. Paul used the good example of Macedonia Church in giving to encourage the Corinthian Church in liberal giving. Amen and amen.

b. There is great power inside the local in readiness and willingness to support the work of the Lord.

( II Corinthians 8: 11-12 ) 11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

c. They also give to the Lord from their heart and with cheerfulness in giving.

(2 Corinthians 9:6-8) [6]But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

[7]Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

[8]And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

4. LET US BE UNITED IN SHARING OUR ABILITY TO FINISH OUR GOAL.

(Nehemiah 4:16-18) 16.And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.

17.They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.

18.For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me.

a. The Lord blesses the Church different gifts and talent that we can share to accomplish the work of the Lord

( Romans 12: 8-11 ) 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit serving the Lord.

b. Another good example in giving their best ability to assure they can successfully accomplish their goals. The 4 soulwinners in

( Mark :1-5 ) [1]And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

[2]And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to, receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

[3]And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

[4]And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

[5]When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

5. LET US BE UNITED IN PUTTING OUR FAITH TO GOD TO ASSURE VICTORY IN REACHING OUR GOAL.

(Nehemiah 4:21-23) 21.So we laboured in the work: and half of them held the spears from the rising of the morning till the stars appeared.

22.Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day.

23.So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, saving that every one put them off for washing.

* (Hebrews 11:6) But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

a. For without faith it is impossible to please God. Your great unity in the work of the Lord is the clear expression of the UNITY IN THE WORK OF THE LORD.

b. The people of God in the Old Testament became victorious because of their faith to God.

( Hebrews 11:32-34 ) [32]And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

[33]Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

[34]Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

[35]Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

 * The New Testament Christians are victorious in the Ministry of the Lord because their faith to God in times of their persecution their faith to made them very victorious and fruitful in the ministry of the Lord.

( Acts 5:26-29 ) [26]Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

[27]And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

[28]Saying, Did not we straitly3 command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

[29]Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

* Church, we need a strong faith to God to assure to accomplish our great goal in the Ministry of the Lord. Big Amen and Amen!!!

* God bless you all always *
