[S] [PREACHING LESSON 12:] THINK ON THESE THINGS

Philippians 4:8-9   Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9.Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

* INTRODUCTION:

* The bible verses started on " finally brethren" this speak for all who are the believer's of Christ.

* God treat the Christians a special people of God.

(1 Peter 2:9-10 ) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

* God treated you and me a Chosen generation, a Royal priesthood, a holy nation, a Peculiar people.

 * God gave us the special Missions on earth " that shew forth the praises of Christ who called you and me to shine in darkness and rescue the hopeless and helpless lost sinners from sure judgement in hell.

* This is our serious Mission to the lost wicked World.

* Now let's go to our main lessons " THINK ON THESE THINGS"

1. WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE TRUE.

*To be true means is to be right in our thinking and doing.

* Many times Christians are not sincerely in living in their Christian life.

( Philippians 1:16 ) The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

2. WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE HONEST.

( Hebrews 10: 22 ) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

3. WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE JUST.

* To be just is to think and do what is right in the sight of God and man

( Psalms 11:7 ) For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

4. WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE PURE.

* This speak of being a spiritual in their spiritual life before God and man.

( I Peter 1:15-16 ) 15. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

16.Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

5. WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE LOVELY.

* This speak of glorifying God in their Christian living.

( Colossians 1:10 ) That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

6. WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE OF GOOD REPORT.

* This speak of the good testimony of the Christians in generation.

Hebrews 11:2, 39  2. For by it the elders obtained a good report.

39.And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

 CONCLUSION:

* This is an encouragement to all Christians to a Christ like living being a genuine Christian.

(1 Peter 2:21) For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

* God bless you all always*
