PSALMS 34:17-18 “[The righteous] cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Pss 34:18 The Lord [is] nigh unto
them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”
Introduction: God promise to answer the prayer of a righteous and reject
the prayer of those whose heart is not right with God.
( I Peter 3:12 ) 12 For the eyes of the Lord are
over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of
the Lord is against them that do evil.
*Multiple great benefits of a righteous prayerful
Christian.
I. ASSURANCE OF STABILITY IS GIVEN IN TIMES OF AND IN THE
MIDST OF GREAT TROUBLES
PSALMS 34:17 “[The righteous] cry, and the Lord
heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”
* 1PETER 5:10 “But the God of all grace, who
hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have
suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].”
a. In the midst of life's storms, a solid relationship with God is your
anchor.
b. God will always bless the righteous Christians.
( Psalms 11:7 ) For the righteous LORD loveth
righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
II. ASSURANCE OF SECURITY WILL BE GIVEN BY GOD IN TIMES
OF SATAN’S ATTACK TO GOD’S PEOPLE
EPHESIANS 6:11-18 “Put on the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not
against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
[places].
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole
armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having
done all, to stand.
Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer
and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance
and supplication for all saints;”
a. The Christians best weapon against the enemy the Devil is prayer
without ceasing.
b. Christians are perfectly protected by God by His feathers.
PSALMS 91:1-10 “He that dwelleth in the secret place
of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Pss 91:2 I will say of the Lord,
[He is] my refuge
IV. ASSURANCE OF SENSITIVITY (Wisdom) WILL BE GIVEN BY
GOD TO CHRISTIANS IN TIMES OF TROUBLE
PROVERBS 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore
get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
a. God will give you greater spiritual understanding and increased
awareness to the needs of others.
b. The Holy Spirit guides and gives wisdom to Gods people.
( John 16:13 ) 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of
truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of
himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew
you things to come.
Conclusion:
* Great expectation of God’s people from Him of the righteous Christian.
PSALMS 126:2-3 “Then was our mouth filled with laughter,
and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath
done great things for them.
Pss 126:3 The Lord hath done great
things for us; [whereof] we are glad.”
