WHEN GOD
GIVES TO CHRISTIANS, HE GIVES SO MUCH THAT YOU CANNOT ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE
FROM HIM.
( Romans
8:31-32 ) 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can
be against us?
32 He that
spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with
him also freely give us all things?
* Introduction:
a. Preachers always say we cannot outgive God when it
comes to giving.
b. When God gives to all His children, He gives His best
gift—the Lord Jesus Christ.
( John 3:16
) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1. WHEN GOD GAVE SALVATION TO LOST SINNERS WITH THE
PROMISE OF EVERLASTING LIFE.
( John 5:24
) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and
believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
2. WHEN GOD FORGAVE OUR SINS, HE ASSURED US THAT HE WILL
REMEMBER THEM NO MORE.
( Hebrews
10:17-18 ) 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now
where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
3. WHEN GOD PROMISES PROTECTION, IT IS A PERFECT
PROTECTION.
( Romans
8:31 ) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be
against us?
( Psalms
91:1-3 ) 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide
under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will
say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he
shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome
pestilence.
4. WHEN GOD GIVES YOU HIS APPROVAL, HE WILL ALWAYS ASSURE
YOU OF HIS PROMISE.
( 2
Corinthians 6:17-18 ) 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye
separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive
you,
18 And will
be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord
Almighty.
5. WHEN GOD GIVES YOU PEACE, IT IS INDEED A PERFECT
PEACE.
(
Philippians 4:9 ) Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard,
and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
( Romans
5:1 ) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through
our Lord Jesus Christ:
6. WHEN GOD PROMISED TO GIVE THE COMFORTER TO CHRISTIANS,
HE ALSO GAVE WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING OF THE TRUTH, PERFECT GUIDANCE, AND HIS
POWER IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE.
( John
16:13 ) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you
into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall
hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
* The power of the Holy Spirit is also given to every
individual Christian.
( Acts 1:8
) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
* The Holy Spirit will guide us in the will of God.
( Romans
8:26 ) Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not
what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession
for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
* To God be the glory *
