[R] [PREACHING LESSON 8:] THE HEART OF THE SOULWINNERS IS THE VERY HEART OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

THE HEART OF THE SOULWINNERS IS THE VERY HEART OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

( Romans 10: 1 ) 1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

INTRODUCTION:

a. Paul expressed the very heart of the Lord Jesus Christ for his concern for the salvation of his fellow Israelites. That is his prayer and desire that they might be saved.

b. Christ also showed the same concern for all lost sinners

( Matthew 9:36-38 ) 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

* Christ commanded His disciples to pray for soulwinners to go to the multitudes of lost people and win to Christ.

1. CHRIST WANT HIS CHURCH TO HAVE A HEART FOR THE LOST SINNERS.

( John 4:35 ) 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

a. Christ commanded the disciples to look on the field for the are white or ready to harvest.

b. Christians are always concern for earthly things and not for heavenly things.

( Colossians 3:1-2 ) 1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

c. Christ want for Christian to always give value on the precious souls of lost people.

( Mark 8:36 ) 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

2. CHRIST WANT TO MAKE PARTNER WITH HIS DISCIPLES TO WIN MORE LOST PEOPLE.

( John 15:16 ) 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

a. Christ chose and ordained every individual Christian inside the local to be His co-labourers in God's vineyard.

( 1 Corinthians 3: 8-9 ) 8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

b. Christ treat us not servant but His best friends He said.

( John 15: 15 ) 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

3. CHRIST WANT HIS DISCIPLE COPY HIS STRATEGY TO BE A SEEVANTHOOD SPIRIT IN EFFECTIVE WINNING LOST PERSON.

( I Corithians 9:19-22 ) 19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

4. CHRIST ALWAYS MOVE HIS HEART TO LOST PEOPLE ARE STILL NOT SAVED

( Mathew 9:35-36 ) 35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

* Christian we need to have a heart like Jesus for loving and crying for many lost souls to be saved.

( Romans 10:1 ) 1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

( Psalms 126:5-6 ) 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

( Luke 10:1-3 ) 1 After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

6. CHRIST ENCOURAGE THE CHURCH LOOK THE FIELD FOR THEY ARE WHITE ALREADY TO HARVEST.

( John 4:35 ) Say not ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

(John 9:4-5) I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
