MAKING GOOD DECISIONS IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE
SHOWING THAT WE ARE STRONGLY SPIRITUAL
Ephesians 3:16–21 16 That he
would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with
might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;
that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what
is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth
knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding
abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh
in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus
throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
INTRODUCTION
God is
pleased when His dear children make the decision to follow in the steps of our
Lord Jesus Christ in their daily Christian walk.
1 Peter 2:21 For even
hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an
example, that ye should follow his steps:

GREAT DECISIONS FOR OUR DAILY WALK IN JESUS CHRIST
1. THE DECISION TO MAKE CHRIST THE CENTER OF OUR DAILY
SPIRITUAL LIFE
Making
Christ the center is key to following in the steps of the Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Peter 2:21)
This
is the true definition of walking by faith and not by sight.
(2 Corinthians 5:7)
Ephesians 3:17–19 17 That
Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in
love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth
knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
2. THE DECISION TO DRAW CLOSER TO GOD EVERY DAY
A
spiritual Christian—like King David—always desires to draw nearer to God. This
is a worthy goal for every believer
(Colossians 1:10)
Living
a life close to God is always worthy and pleasing in His sight.
Drawing
near to God is consistently the best decision a spiritual Christian can make in
life.
Psalm 73:28 But it is
good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I
may declare all thy works.
3. THE
DECISION TO BE A CHANNEL OF BLESSING TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE CHURCH
Giving
to the work of the Lord demonstrates a deep commitment to meeting the needs of
the church and its ministry. The faithful giving of every member is a healthy
sign of spiritual strength.
(2 Corinthians 9:6–11)
Philippians 4:15–16 15 Now ye
Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed
from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and
receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again
unto my necessity.
4. THE DECISION TO BEAR SPIRITUAL FRUIT BY SHARING THE
GOSPEL WITH THE LOST
Reaching
lost souls clearly shows that we desire true spiritual fruitfulness in our
Christian life.
(1 Corinthians 15:58)
1 Corinthians 9:19–22 19 For
though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I
might gain the more.
20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I
might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I
might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them that are without law, as without law,
(being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain
them that are without law.
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain
the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
5. THE DECISION TO USE OUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS IN GOD'S
MINISTRY
God is
the source of all the spiritual gifts and talents given to His people. We must
seize every opportunity to employ these gifts for the work of the ministry.
Romans 12:6–11 6 Having
then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether
prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or
he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that
giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that
sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that
which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with
brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit;
serving the Lord;
