THE KIND OF PASTORS WHOM THE LORD USES, BLESSES TO
THE PEOPLE AROUND THEM, AND GLORIFIES IN HEAVEN
Genesis 6:5–9 “And God
saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every
imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it
repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his
heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face
of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the
air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the
eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and
perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”
INTRODUCTION:
a.
Just as Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord amidst a dark and wicked
generation, God continues to look for faithful servants who will stand in the
gap today. A pastor after God’s own heart does not align with the patterns of
this world, but instead walks closely with God, serving as a beacon of truth,
hope, and righteousness to a dying world.
b. The
true measure of a pastor’s ministry is not found in earthly popularity or
material success, but in spiritual faithfulness and alignment with God's divine
will. When a shepherd leads with passion, integrity, and absolute reliance on
Scripture, their ministry becomes a source of eternal blessing to their
congregation, their community, and the kingdom of God.
7 GREAT THINGS IN THE LIFE OF A PASTOR THAT ARE A
BLESSING BEFORE GOD AND TO ALL THE PEOPLE AROUND THEM
1. THE
PASTOR WHO LOVES LOST SINNERS AND PRAYS FOR THE SALVATION OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL
IN THEIR COMMUNITY.
Romans 10:1 — “Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for
Israel is, that they might be saved.”

The Jerusalem Church prayed
for precious souls to be saved, and God granted their prayers:
Acts 6:4–7 — “But we will give ourselves continually to prayer,
and to the ministry of the word. And the saying pleased the whole multitude:
and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip,
and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of
Antioch: Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid
their hands on them. And the word of God increased; and the number of the
disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests
were obedient to the faith.”

Peter prayed for many souls
to be saved, and God answered:
Acts 2:36–41 — “Therefore let all the house of Israel know
assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both
Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart,
and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what
shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of
you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive
the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children,
and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And
with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from
this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were
baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand
souls.”

So many precious souls were
saved through their bold soulwinning:
Acts 5:26–29 — “Then went the captain with the officers, and
brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should
have been stoned. And when they had brought them, they set them before the
council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not we straitly command
you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled
Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God
rather than men.”
2. THE
PASTOR WHO SERVES GOD WITH FAITHFULNESS OF HEART, EVEN WITHOUT HAVING SEEN GOD
VISIBLY WHILE SERVING HIM.

The servant of God walks by
faith and not by sight:
2 Corinthians 5:7 — “(For we walk by faith, not
by sight:)”
1 Peter 1:8 — “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though
now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of
glory:”
·
The great saints of God
serve by faith, and God blesses them bountifully and victoriously:
·
Hebrews 11:32–40 — “And what
shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak,
and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises,
stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of
the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to
flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life
again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might
obtain a better resurrection: And others had trial of cruel mockings and
scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they
were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about
in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom
the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in
dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report
through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing
for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.”
3. THE
PASTOR WHO EQUIPS AND STRENGTHENS SPIRITUAL LEADERS TO KEEP GOING EFFECTIVELY
AND FRUITFULLY IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD.

The church is one body with
many members working together to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ
(1 Corinthians 12:12–20):
Ephesians 4:11–16 — “And he gave some, apostles;
and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For
the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of
the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the
stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children,
tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the
sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is
the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and
compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual
working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the
edifying of itself in love.”
4. THE PASTOR WHOSE CHURCH MEMBERS KEEP SERVING THE LORD
USING THEIR SPIRITUAL GIFTS INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH.

God is the provider of
gifts and talents to church members:
·
Romans 12:6–11 — “Having
then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether
prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry,
let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that
exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he
that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love
be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is
good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour
preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving
the Lord;”
5. THE PASTOR WHOSE GREAT VISION IS TO PLANT MORE MISSION
WORKS UNTIL JESUS COMES BACK.

The church must be a
mission-minded church (John 4:35 — “Lift up your eyes, and look on the
fields”):
·
Philippians 4:15–19 — “Now ye
Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed
from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and
receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my
necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to
your account. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of
Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a
sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your
need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
6. THE PASTOR WHOSE GREAT BURDEN IS FOR MULTITUDES OF
LOST PEOPLE TO BE SAVED IN THE REGIONS BEYOND.

Servants of God maintain a
big vision for global evangelism (Acts 16:8–10; Proverbs 29:18):
Matthew 9:35–38 — “And Jesus went about all the
cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of
the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But
when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they
fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he
unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers
into his harvest.”
7. THE PASTOR WHOM THE HOLY SPIRIT EMPOWERS TO KEEP GOING
IN THE WORK OF THE LORD EFFECTIVELY AND FRUITFULLY.

Servants of God have the
perfect Partner in the Lord's ministry, making their work fruitful (Acts 2:41;
Acts 6:4–7):
Acts 1:8 — “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy
Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
God
