[Q] [PREACHING LESSON 6:] GOD IS REMINDING HIS CHILDREN OF WHAT WE ARE BEFORE AND WHAT ARE NOW BEING BLESSED CHILDREN OF GOD, SO LET US BE THANKFUL TO GOD.

GOD IS REMINDING HIS CHILDREN OF WHAT WE ARE BEFORE AND WHAT ARE NOW BEING BLESSED CHILDREN OF GOD, SO LET US BE THANKFUL TO GOD.

( Romans 11: 29-36 ) 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

1. THAT IN TIME PAST WE ARE NOT A BELIEVERS OF CHRIST BUT NOW WE ARE THE BELIEVERS OF CHRIST. LET US BE THANKFULL TO GOD.

( Romans 11:30 ) For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

a. We are before the children of disobidience and the children of wrath.

( Ephesians 2: 1-5 ) 1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

2. IN TIME PAST WE DO NOT OBTAIN MERCY BUT NOW WE OBTAIN GOD'S SO LET US BE THANKFUL TO GOD.

( Romans 11:30-32 ) 30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

3. IN TIME PAST WE NOT THE PEOPLE OF GOD SO LET US BE THANKFUL TO GOD.

( I Peter 2:10 ) Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

a. Now this is time we can share to lost World the mercy of God to many lost people in the World.

( Ephesians 2:4-8 ) 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

4. IN TIME PAST WE NOT THE CHOSEN PEOPLE GOD BECAUSE WE ARE IN DARKNESS BUT NOW, WE ARE THE CHOSEN PEOPLE OF GOD SO LET US BE THANKFUL TO GOD.

( 1 Peter 2:9 ) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

a. Now being the chosen people of God that called out from darkness. We are commanded to share the light of Christ to people in the World that are darkness.

( Matthew 5:16 ) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

5. IN TIME PAST WE ARE THE ENEMY OF GOD BUT NOT WE ARE REDEEMED PEOPLE OF SO LET US BE THANKFUL TO GOD.

( Romans 5 :8-10 ) 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

a. Now we are friends of Christ and to be an Ambassadors of Christ to reconcile the lost people to God.

( II Corinthian 5:19-21 ) 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

* To God be the glory *
