THE POWER OF THE CROSS IN THE LIFE OF THE CHRISTIAN.

 

" I AM CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST "

 

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

 

I. IT IS A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF AN INDIVIDUAL CHRISTIAN.

 

a. You experience the power of the Cross by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour of your life.

b. Your decision of accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour is your personal experience and you know it very well the time and date you received Christ in your heart.

( I John 5:13 ) These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

*" I AM CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST " is a personal experience of each believer of Christ.

 

2. IT IS A PERMANENT EXPERIENCE IN CHRISTIAN LIFE.

 

a. Paul said Christ liveth in me. It means live in my life forever.

b. Christ lives in the lives of the Christian forever.

(1 John 5:11-12 ) 11. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12.He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

* The Bible said that Jesus Christ is the eternal that indwelleth in our lives forever.

( John 5:20 ) And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

 

3. IT IS A PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE IN OUR LIFE.

 

a. We can live a practical spiritual life in daily basis living by faith the life of Christ in our life. Christian living is not hard and not impossible for us to live in our daily life even though we are living in our sinful because we are Crucified in Christ.

* The life that we are living in a daily basis we are living it by faith.

( Hebrews 11:6 ) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

* Noah, Abraham, and the old testament God's service they are known to be very victorious because the choose to live by faith.

( Hebrews 11:32-33) 32. And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

33. Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

 

4. IT IS A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE TO HAVE CRUCIFIED LIFE. WE CAN NOW OVERCOME ALL THE HINDRANCES THAT CAN ENCOUNTER IN DAILY LIFE.

 

a. We can overcome all the trials and trouble and all hindrance on our Christian race. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

b. We face the Challenge to finish our Christian race with the positive assurance that we can finish our Christian with confidence because we are Crucified in Christ.

( II Timothy 4:7-8 ) 7. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

( Hebrews 12:1-2 ) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

5. IT IS A PERFECT EXPERIENCE TO LIVE A CRUCIFIED BECAUSE THIS IS THE WAY TO LIVE A CHRIST CENTERED LIFE.

 

(Ephesians 3:17-19)  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

* The Christ centered life of the Christ are always for the Soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

( Mathew 24:45-47 ) Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

Conclusion:

* ARE YOU CRUCIFIED IN CHRIST? CHECK YOURSELF. IF IT IS EASY FOR TO FRUSTRATE THE GRACE OF GOD BEING ONE WHO BELIEVE WE ARE BEING CRUCIFIED IN CHRIST. EXAMINE YOURSELF DEAR FRIENDS.
