[PP] [PREACHING LESSON 15:] THE TRUTH THAT CHRISTIANS NEED TO ADMIT IN ORDER TO BE USEFUL IN HIS MINISTRY

THE TRUTH THAT CHRISTIANS NEED TO ADMIT IN ORDER TO BE USEFUL IN HIS MINISTRY

(ANG KATOTOHANAN NA DAPAT TANGGAPIN AT KILALANIN NG CRISTIANO UPANG SIYA'Y GAMITIN NG DIOS SA KANYANG DAKILANG GAWAIN )

1 CORINTHIANS 6:19-20 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”

If you know Christ as your Savior, it is time to acknowledge the truths that Paul states in these two verses.

Five (5) Great Truths to Know and Admit Before God:

I. THAT WE ARE OCCUPIED BY GOD

(NA ANG BANAL NA ESPIRITU AY TUMATAHAN SA BUHAY NATIN UPANG GAMITIN NIYA TAYO SA KANYANG BANAL NA GAWAIN)

·         Occupied –

·         To live in (a house, apartment, etc.)

·         To fill or be in (a place or space)

·         To fill or use (an amount of time)

1 CORINTHIANS 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

JOHN 14:16-18 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

II. THAT WE ARE OWNED BY GOD

(NA TAYO AY PAG-AARI NG DIOS DAHIL TAYO'Y PININILAGAN NG MAY MALAKING HALAGA)

·         Owned –

·         Belonging to oneself or itself

1 CORINTHIANS 6:19b-20a “… and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price…”

1 PETER 1:18-19 “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”

III. THAT WE ARE OBLIGATED TO GOD

(NA TAYO AY OBLIGADONG MAGLINGKOD SA DIOS DAHIL INILIGTAS NIYA TAYO AT TINAWAG UPANG MAGLINGKOD)

·         Obligated –

·         To make (a person or organization) do something because the law requires it or because it is the right thing to do

1 CORINTHIANS 6:20b “…therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”

ROMANS 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

IV. THAT WE ARE OPEN TO GOD’S WORK IN SHAPING OUR LIVES

( NA BUKAS TAYO SA LAHAT NG KANYANG GAGAWIN UPANG HUBUGIN ANG ATING BUHAY TULAD NG BUHAY NI CRISTO JESUS )

·         Shaping –

·         To give a particular form or shape to (something)

·         To work with (a material) in order to make something from it

·         To influence the development of (something)

·         To help (something) become what it is

EPHESIANS 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

God is continuously shaping the Christian. We remain in a spiritual process so that He may fit us for His service.

V. THAT WE ARE OFFERED FOR GOD’S USE TO REACH THE LOST AT ANY COST

( NA LAGING GAGAMITIN NG DIOS ANG MGA BUHAY NATIN UPANG MARAMI PANG MGA KALULUWA ANG MALIGTAS SA TIYAK NA KAPAHAMAKAN SA IMPIYERNO )

·         Usefulness –

·         The quality of having utility, especially practical worth or applicability

1 CORINTHIANS 9:19-22 “For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.”

God designed the believer’s life to be useful and fruitful, even into old age.

PSALMS 92:12-15 “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.”

God bless you all always!
