[PP] [PREACHING LESSON 11:] THE PRAYER OF THE CHRISTIAN IS NOT IN VAIN IN THE LORD.

THE PRAYER OF THE CHRISTIAN IS NOT IN VAIN IN THE LORD.

(ANG PANALANGIN NG KRISTIYANO AY HINDI WALANG KABULUHAN SA PANGINOON)

1 CORINTHIANS 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

Introduction:

a. The prayer of the Christian who works or labors in the work of the Lord is remembered.

1 THESSALONIANS 1:3 "Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;"

I. PRAYER IS A LABOR OF FAITH TO GOD OF THE CHRISTIAN

(Ang panalangin ay isang pagpapagal ng pananampalataya ng Kristiyano sa Diyos)

HEBREWS 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

a. A Christian who is always coming to God in prayer is clear evidence that we have faith to answer our prayer to God.

MARK 11:23-24 "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

b. Great men who put their faith in their prayers are always victorious in their Christian life.

HEBREWS 11:32-34 "And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens."

II. PRAYER IS THE LABOR OF LOVE OF THE CHRISTIAN TO GOD

(Ang panalangin ay ang pagpapagal ng pag-ibig ng Kristiyano sa Diyos)

2 CORINTHIANS 5:14 "For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:"

a. We will always come to God in prayer because we love God.

1 PETER 1:8 "Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:"

b. Even though we do not see God, we still do not stop expressing our love to Him. We are rejoicing and glorifying God.

III. PRAYER IS THE LABOR OF PATIENCE OF THE CHRISTIAN TO GOD

(Ang panalangin ay ang pagpapagal ng pagtitiyaga ng Kristiyano sa Diyos)

ROMANS 12:12 "Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;"

a. The fruits of the Holy Spirit always bring joy, peace, hope, and patience into the Christian life.

GALATIANS 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

GALATIANS 6:9 "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

IV. PRAYER IS THE LABOR OF HOPE OF THE CHRISTIAN TO GOD

(Ang panalangin ay ang pagpapagal ng pag-asa ng Kristiyano sa Diyos)

ROMANS 8:25-26 "But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

ROMANS 5:4 "And patience, experience; and experience, hope:"

a. Prayer always produces hope in God, because Christ who lives in us is our hope of glory.

COLOSSIANS 1:27 "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:"

Conclusion:

a. Every prayer offered by a faithful Christian is never ignored or forgotten by God.

b. Let us continue to labor in prayer with faith, love, patience, and hope, knowing that our spiritual labor is not in vain.

* GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS *
