[PP] [PREACHING LESSON 10:] THE PRAYER THAT TOUCHES THE HEART OF GOD.

THE PRAYER THAT TOUCHES THE HEART OF GOD.

(ANG PANALANGIN NA NAGPAPAGALAW SA PUSO NG DIYOS)

1 PETER 3:12 "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil."

Introduction:

a. The eyes and ears of our holy God are always attentive to those who walk in righteousness and seek Him with all their heart.

b. When a believer's life and heart are aligned with God's Word, their prayers hold great power and touch His heart.

I. THE PRAYER OFFERED WITH A CLEAN HEART TOUCHES THE HEART OF GOD.

(Ang panalangin na inihandog na may malinis na puso ay nagpapagalaw sa puso ng Diyos)

1 PETER 3:12 "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil."

a. The holy God always hears the prayers of Christians whose hearts are clean before God.

HEBREWS 10:22-23 "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)"

II. THE PRAYER OFFERED WITH STRONG FAITH TOUCHES THE HEART OF GOD.

(Ang panalangin na inihandog na may malakas na pananampalataya ay nagpapagalaw sa puso ng Diyos)

HEBREWS 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

MARK 11:22-24 "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

a. Great men of God in the Old Testament are known to be victorious because of their strong faith in God.

HEBREWS 11:32-34 "And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens."

III. THE PRAYER OFFERED WITH HUMBLENESS TOUCHES THE HEART OF GOD.

(Ang panalangin na inihandog na may pagpapakumbaba ay nagpapagalaw sa puso ng Diyos)

PSALMS 34:18 "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."

ISAIAH 57:15 "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

a. God will give revival to the prayer of a humble Christian.

2 CHRONICLES 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

b. God promises to lift up the humble Christian.

1 PETER 5:6 "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:"

IV. THE PRAYER OFFERED WITH COURAGE TOUCHES THE HEART OF GOD.

(Ang panalangin na inihandog na may katapangan ay nagpapagalaw sa puso ng Diyos)

DANIEL 6:9-13 "Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree. 10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. 11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. 12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. 13 Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day."

a. We see the story of how Daniel was blessed by God with His perfect protection when faced with the threat of being thrown into the lions' den because he continued to pray to our living and true God.

b. God was with Daniel inside the lions' den and protected Daniel from the hungry lions. Amen and amen!!!

V. THE PRAYER OFFERED WITH BOLDNESS TOUCHES THE HEART OF GOD.

(Ang panalangin na inihandog na may lakas ng loob ay nagpapagalaw sa puso ng Diyos)

HEBREWS 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

a. The boldness of always coming to God in prayer assures us that we will find grace, mercy, and help from God.

b. God's grace is sufficient for the prayerful Christian.

2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness..."

Conclusion:

a. When a Christian prays with a clean heart, strong faith, humility, courage, and boldness, they offer the kind of prayer that deeply touches the heart of God.

b. Let us remain steadfast in our prayer life, knowing that the throne of grace is always open to receive us and supply our needs.

GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!
