MANY TIMES, THE CHRISTIANS DENY OUR
SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST
( John 13:36-38 ) 36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest
thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou
shalt follow me afterwards.
37 Peter
said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for
thy sake.
38 Jesus
answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
* Introduction:
a. Christ know that Peter is sincere
in his saying to Him.
"( John 13: 36-)" but thou
shalt follow me afterward.
b. But in reality many Christians are
like Peter in their promises to God but lack of action in their commitment to
God.
1. MANY CHRISTIANS KNOW CHRIST WILL
BE GLORIFIED IF WE ARE FAITHFUL IN OUR WORSHIP BUT NOT ALL IN THE CHURCH ARE
FAITHFUL IN SUNDAY WORSHIP TO GOD.
( Hebrews 10:25 ) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,
as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as
ye see the day approaching.
* Thomas was a bad example for being
absent in Sunday worship.
( John 20: 24-25 ) 24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus,
was not with them when Jesus came.
25 The
other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said
unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my
finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will
not believe.
2. CHRISTIANS KNOW CHRIST WILL BE
GLORIFIED IF LOVE GOD MORE THAN TO LOVE THE WORLD, BUT MANY CHRISTIANS LOVE THE
WORLD MORE THAN CHRIST.
( I John 2:15-17 ) 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are
in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all
that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the
pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the
world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God
abideth for ever.
* Demas is our bad example.
( II Timothy 4:10 ) For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this
present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus
unto Dalmatia.
3. CHRISTIAN KNOW CHRIST WILL BE GLORIFIED
IF WE ALL FAITHFULL IN OUR GIVING TO THE LORD BUT THE TRUTH NOT ALL ARE
FAITHFULL.
( Malachi 3:8-10 ) Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye
say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are
cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring
ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,
and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the
windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room
enough to receive it.
* Philippian Church were good example
in their giving to the Lord.
( Philippian 4:15-19 ) 15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the
beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated
with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For
even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17 Not
because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
18 But I
have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things
which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable,
wellpleasing to God.
19 But my
God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ
Jesus.
4. CHRISTIAN KNOW CHRIST WILL BE
GLORIFIED IF WILL GO SOULWINNING TO FULLFILL HIS GREAT COMMISSION BUT NOT ALL
ARE WINNING SOULS.
( Mathew 28:19-20 ) 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I
am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
* Jerusalem Church is our good
example.
( Acts 2:41 ) Then they that gladly received his word were
baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand
souls.
* Paul was a good example in winning
the lost at any cost.
( I Corinthians 9:19-22 ) 19 For though I be free from all
men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
20 And
unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are
under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them
that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under
the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
22 To the
weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all
men, that I might by all means save some.
5. CHRISTIANS KNOW CHRIST WILL BE
GLORIFIED IF WE BE LIKE HIM AS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
( Mathew 5:16 ) 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may
see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
* God bless you all *
