THAT CHRISTIANS OVERLOOK BECAUSE THEY CARE MORE ABOUT THE WORLD

JOHN 4:35 “Say not
ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh harvest? behold, I say unto
you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to
harvest.”
2 TIMOTHY 4:10 “For Demas
hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto
Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.”
Panimula:
a. Palasak
na nangyayari ang suliraning ito sa maraming Kristiyano: dahil sa nalilibang
sila sa mga bagay ng sanlibutang ito, hindi na nila nabibigyang-halaga ang mga
espiritwal na bagay.
b. Nagbigay
si Apostol Pablo ng seryosong babala at paalala hinggil sa bagay na ito:
COLOSSIANS 3:1-2 “If ye then
be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth
on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on
things on the earth.”

ESPIRITWAL NA BAGAY NA HINDI NABIBIGYANG-PANSIN NG MGA KRISTIYANO:
1.
THEY OVERLOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE THE LORD AND SAVIOR OF THEIR LIFE
(Hindi
nila nabibigyang-pansin ang pagkakataong makapaglingkod sa Panginoon at
Tagapagligtas ng kanilang buhay)
JOSHUA 24:15 “And if it
seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve;
whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the
flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and
my house, we will serve the Lord.”
a. Nagpatotoo
si Pablo na pagkatapos niyang maligtas at sumunod sa bautismo, agad siyang
nagtalaga upang maglingkod sa Panginoon.
1 TIMOTHY 1:12 “And I
thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me
faithful, putting me into the ministry;”
b. Malinaw
ang paalala ng Panginoong Hesus na hindi tayo maaaring maglingkod sa dalawang
panginoon.
MATTHEW 6:24 “No man can
serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else

THEY OVERLOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO SET THEIR AFFECTION ON THINGS ABOVE

nila nabibigyang-pansin ang pagkakataong ilagay ang kanilang pagmamahal sa mga
bagay na nasa itaas)
COLOSSIANS 3:2 “Set your
affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”
a.
Ang hamon ni Pablo sa mga Kristiyano: kung kayo ay
binuhay na kalakip ni Kristo, hanapin ang mga bagay na nasa itaas.
COLOSSIANS 3:1 “If ye then
be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth
on the right hand of God.”
b. Ang
pananambahan, paglilingkod, at pag-aakay ng kaluluwa (soul-winning) ay mga
gawaing makalangit at may walang-hanggang halaga.
1 THESSALONIANS 2:19-20 “For what
[is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence
of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
1Thes 2:20 For ye are our glory and joy.”

Sa kasamaang-palad, ang mga pansamantalang bagay sa lupa

THEY OVERLOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEEK GOD FIRST IN THEIR
LIFE

nila nabibigyang-pansin ang pagkakataong unahin ang Diyos sa kanilang buhay)
MATTHEW 6:33 “But seek
ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall
be added unto you.”

Dapat unahin ang Diyos sa pamamagitan ng pagsamba sa
Espiritu at Katotohanan, lalo na sa araw ng Pagsamba.
JOHN 4:22-23 “Ye worship
ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Jn 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the
true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the
Father seeketh such to worship him.”
b. Ang
Linggo ang unang araw ng sanlinggo (First Day of the Week)—ito ang itinalagang
araw ng pagtitipon at pagsamba ng Bagong Tipan. Nararapat lamang na ibigay
natin ang araw na ito sa Diyos.
ACTS 20:7 And upon
the first [day] of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread,
Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his
speech until midnight.
1 CORINTHIANS 16:2 Upon the
first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath
prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
c. Mahalagang
paalala ng Kasulatan na huwag nating pababayaan ang ating mga pagkakatipon.
HEBREWS 10:25 “Not
forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but
exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
4. THEY
OVERLOOK THE SURENESS OF GOING INTO THE FIELD AND HARVESTING PRECIOUS SOULS
(Hindi
nila nabibigyang-pansin ang katiyakan ng paghayo sa bukid at pag-aani ng mga
mahahalagang kaluluwa)
JOHN 4:35 “Say not
ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh harvest? behold, I say unto

a. Noong
una, maging ang mga alagad ni Kristo ay nalibang sa paghahanap ng pisikal na
pagkain, kaya hindi nila napansin ang mga kaluluwang handa nang anihin sa
lungsod ng Samaria.
JOHN 4:31-32 In the mean
while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
Jn 4:32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat
that ye know not of.”
b. Nagbigay
si Hesus ng hamon na ang Kanyang tunay na kasiyahan at pagkain ay ang ganapin
ang kalooban ng Ama at tapusin ang gawain ng pagliligtas.
JOHN 4:34 “Jesus
saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish
his work.”
c. Hinahamon
tayo ni Hesus na ituon ang ating mga mata sa mga makasalanang nasa ating
paligid na handa nang makarinig at maligtas.
JOHN 4:35 “Say not
ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh harvest? behold, I say unto

harvest.”
5. THEY
OVERLOOK THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THEIR LIFE WHO IS READY TO GIVE
POWER, WISDOM, AND PERFECT GUIDANCE IN THEIR CHRISTIAN LIFE
(Hindi
nila nabibigyang-pansin ang presensya ng Banal na Espiritu sa kanilang buhay na
handang magbigay ng kapangyarihan, karunungan, at perpektong gabay sa kanilang
buhay Kristiyano)
( John 16:13 ) Howbeit
when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he
shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come.
a. Ang
Banal na Espiritu ay laging handa na ipaunawa sa atin ang Salita ng Diyos
bilang gabay natin sa pamumuhay natin sa ating pananampalataya sa Diyos.
( Hebrews 11:6 ) [6]But
without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
b.
Ang Banal na Espiritu ang gumagabay sa atin sa ating
pananalangin sa Diyos.
( Romans 8: 26 ) [26]Likewise
the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray
for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be uttered.
c.
Ang Banal na Espiritu ang nagbibigay sa atin ng
kapangyarihan sa ating ginagawang paglilingkod sa Diyos.
( Acts 1:8 ) But ye
shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall
be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and
unto the uttermost part of the earth.
6. THEY
OVERLOOK THE SOON COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST BECAUSE THEY ARE SO BUSY WITH
THE WORLD
( 2 Timothy 4:10 ) [10]For
Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto
Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

John reminded Christians na huwag mahalin ang mundo o ang
mga makamundong bagay:
( 1 John 2:15-17 ) [15]Love
not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the
world, the love of the Father is not in him.
[16]For all that is in the world, the lust of the
flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father,
but is of the world.
[17]And the world passeth away, and the lust
thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Masyadong
naaliw at nalibang ang maraming Kristiyano sa mga makamundong bagay, kaya naman
hindi na nila napapansin ang mga pinakamahahalaga at eternal things na
ipinagkakatiwala ng Diyos sa kanila. Nawa'y magising tayo sa katotohanang ito
at muling i-align ang ating mga puso sa mga bagay na nasa itaas.
