WHY
CHRISTIANS SHOULD ALWAYS KEEP GOING IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE?
(BAKIT ANG KRISTIYANO AY DAPAT LAGING TULOY-TULOY SA
PAMUMUHAY KRISTIYANO)
1 CORINTHIANS 9:24-26 “Know ye
not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run,
that ye may obtain.
1Cor 9:25 And every man that striveth for the
mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible
crown; but we an incorruptible.
1Cor 9:26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly;
so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:”
Panimula:
Ang
Salita ng Diyos ang malinaw na nagbibigay ng dahilan kung bakit dapat lamang na
ang isang Kristiyano ay laging tuloy-tuloy sa kanyang pamumuhay Kristiyano. Narito
ang limang (5) mahahalagang katotohanan na dapat nating maunawaan:
1. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS DESIGNED AS A SPIRITUAL RACE
(Ang
buhay Kristiyano ay inihalintulad ng Diyos sa isang espiritwal na takbuhin)
1 CORINTHIANS 9:24 “Know ye
not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run,
that ye may obtain.”
a. Ang
bawat naging Kristiyano ay kasama na sa espiritwal na takbuhin, kaya dapat ay
laging handa sa pagtakbo.
b. Ang
bawat tatakbo at makatapos sa pagtakbo ay may nakalaang putong o gantimpala.
1 CORINTHIANS 9:25-26 “And every
man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it]

Kaya kahit ang Kristiyano ay may kinakaharap na mabibigat
na problema at pagsubok sa buhay, hindi siya dapat tumigil sa takbuhing
Kristiyano.
( Hebrews 12:1-2 ) [1]Wherefore
seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us
lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us
run with patience the race that is set before us,
[2]Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of
our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising
the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
* Ang mga problema at
pagsubok sa ating buhay Kristiyano ay paraan ng Diyos upang tayo’y lalong
tumingin sa Kanya na may lubos na pananampalataya upang tayo’y magtagumpay sa
ating mahabang takbuhin.
( 1 Peter 5:10 ) But the God
of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after
that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle
you.
2. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS DESIGNED AS A SPIRITUAL BIRTH
THAT NEEDS TO GROW
(Ang
buhay ng Kristiyano ay katulad ng espiritwal na kapanganakan na kailangang
lumaki at lumago)
JOHN 1:12-13 “But as
many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even]
to them that believe on his name:
Jn 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the
will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
1 PETER 2:2 “As newborn
babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”
a. Ang buhay Kristiyano ay isang kapanganakang espiritwal
na nangangailangan ng espiritwal na gatas—walang iba kundi ang Salita ng Diyos.
MATTHEW 4:4 “But he
answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by
every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
b. Mahalaga
ang pagpapatuloy sa buhay Kristiyano upang ang isang dating "sanggol"
sa pananampalataya ay lumago at maging sapat ang gulang upang magturo sa iba.
HEBREWS 5:12-14 “For when
for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again
which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as
have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk [is]
unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that
are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised
to discern both good and evil.”
c. Ang
bawat nagka-edad o lumagong Kristiyano ay kumakain na ng matigas na pagkaing
espiritwal (strong meat).
* Ang bawat Kristiyano na
sumasailalim sa mga pamamaraan at programa ng Diyos upang lumago, tumibay, at
maging matatag ay karapat-dapat at tiyak na magtatagumpay sa anumang pagsubok.
( 1 Peter 1:7-9 ) [7]That the
trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth,
though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory
at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
[8]Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though
now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of
glory:
[9]Receiving the end of your faith, even the
salvation of your souls.
3. THE
CHRISTIAN LIFE IS DESIGNED TO BE A SPIRITUAL SOLDIER
(Ang
buhay Kristiyano ay inihalintulad sa isang espiritwal na sundalo ng Diyos)
2 TIMOTHY 2:3-4 “Thou
therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2Tim 2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself
with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to
be a soldier.”
a. Ang
sundalo ng Diyos ay malakas sa espiritwal upang gumanap sa mahahalagang gawain
ng Diyos.
2 TIMOTHY 2:1 “Thou
therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”
b. Ang
sundalo ng Diyos ay dapat masumpungang matapat na katiwala ng Kanyang mga
katotohanan.
2 TIMOTHY 2:2-4 “And the
things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to
faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
2Tim 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good

bawat Kristiyano ay mga sundalo ni Cristo na laging handang humarap sa mga
labanang espiritwal laban sa lahat ng mga lalang at panlilinlang ng diyablo.
( Ephesians 6:10-16 ) [10]Finally,
my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[11]Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be
able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness
of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of
God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand.
[14]Stand therefore, having your loins girt about
with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15]And your feet shod with the preparation of the
gospel of peace;
[16]Above all, taking the shield of faith,
wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
* Ang
sundalo ni Cristo ay laging handang humarap sa espiritwal na kaaway, at ang
ating mabisang sandata ay ang panalanging walang patid ayon sa sinasabi ng
Salita ng Diyos. Amen and Amen!
( Ephesians 6:17-18 ) [17]And
take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of
God:
[18]Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints;
4. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS DESIGNED TO BE SPIRITUAL FARMERS
AND LABORERS OF THE LORD
(Ang
buhay Kristiyano ay inihalintulad sa mga tagapag-ani o manggagawa ng Diyos)
LUKE 10:1-2 “After
these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two
before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
Lk 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest
truly [is] great, but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of
the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.”
a. Maraming tagapag-ani o manggagawa ang sinanay ni Hesus
(pitumpu silang lahat sa pagkakataong ito).
b. Ngunit
ito’y kulang pa rin, kaya inutusan ni Hesus ang mga alagad na idalangin sa
Panginoon na magpadala pa ng higit na maraming manggagawa sa Kanyang bukirin.
5. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS DESIGNED LIKE A SPIRITUAL COURSE
(Ang
buhay Kristiyano ay katulad ng isang espiritwal na kurso o takbuhin sa buhay)
2 TIMOTHY 4:7 “I have
fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith:”
a. Ang
espiritwal na kurso ay maihahalintulad sa isang kurso sa kolehiyo na
sinisimulang pag-aralan at may layunin at kahandaang tapusin.
b. Si
Apostol Pablo ay nagpapatotoo na siya ay nagsikap na makipagbaka sa kanyang
espiritwal na kurso, at ito ay matagumpay niyang tinapos.
Pangwakas:
Nais
ng Diyos na maunawaan natin na ang buhay Kristiyano ay katulad ng isang
mananakbo na dapat magpatuloy sa pagtakbo hanggang sa marating ang dulo ng
kanyang espiritwal na takbuhin. Ito rin ay katulad ng isang ipinanganak sa
espiritwal na kinakailangang patuloy na lumago, tumibay, at maging matatag sa
kanyang pamumuhay Kristiyano upang hindi manatiling sanggol kundi maging
kapaki-pakinabang sa gawain ng Panginoon.
