THE KIND
OF CHRISTIAN THAT GIVES REFRESHING SPIRIT INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH.
*Refresh - to restore strength and to REVIVE . To give encouragement.
( Romans 15:29-33 ) 29 And I am sure that, when I come
unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
30 Now I beseech you, brethren,
for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye
strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
31 That I may be delivered from
them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for
Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
32 That I may come unto you with
joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
33 Now the God of peace be with
you all. Amen.
1. THE SERVING CHRISTIAN INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH
REFRESHED US.
(Romans 12:6-11) 6 Having then gifts differing
according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy
according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our
ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on
exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth,
with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without
dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to
another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business;
fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
( Romans 16:1-8 ) Rom 16:1 I commend unto you Phebe
our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:
Rom 16:2 That ye receive her in
the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she
hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.
Rom 16:3 Greet Priscilla and
Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:
Rom 16:4 Who have for my life laid
down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the
churches of the Gentiles.
Rom 16:5 Likewise [greet] the
church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the
firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
Rom 16:6 Greet Mary, who bestowed
much labour on us.
Rom 16:7 Salute Andronicus and
Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles,
who also were in Christ before me.
Rom 16:8 Greet Amplias my beloved
in the Lord.
2. THE PRAYERFUL CHRISTIAN INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH
REFRESHED US.
( Acts 1:13-15 ) 13 And when they were come in,
they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John,
and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of
Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 These all continued with one
accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of
Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 And in those days Peter stood
up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were
about an hundred and twenty,)
3. THE GIVER INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH REFRESHED.
( 2 Corinthians 8:1-5 ) 1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace
of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2 How that in a great trial of
affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the
riches of their liberality.
3 For to their power, I bear
record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;
4 Praying us with much intreaty
that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the
ministering to the saints.
5 And this they did, not as we
hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of
God.
4. THE SOULWINNER INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH REFRESHED US.
( I Corinthians
9:19-22 ) 1Cor 9:19
For though I be free from all [men], yet have I made myself servant unto all,
that I might gain the more.
1Cor 9:20 And unto the Jews I
became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as
under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
1Cor 9:21 To them that are without
law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to
Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
1Cor 9:22 To the weak became I as
weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all [men], that I
might by all means save some.
( John 9:4-5 ) 4 I must work the works of him
that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I
am the light of the world.
5. THE SPIRITUAL CHRISTIAN INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH
REFRESHES US.
( Hebrews 3:5 ) 5 And Moses verily was faithful in
all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be
spoken after;
6. THE FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH
REFRESHED US.
( Proverbs 28: 20 ) 20 A faithful man shall abound
with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
* God bless you all always *
