6 Clear
Signs of a Transformed Life
1. A PERSONAL DECISION TO ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOUR.
There is a
distinct personal experience of placing your faith in Jesus Christ to save you
and lead your life.
( Acts 16:29-31 ) Acts 16:29 Then
he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before
Paul and Silas, [30]And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be
saved?
[31]And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
2. A NOTICEABLE AND TRANSFORMED LIFE
There is clear, undeniable evidence of a spiritual shift and moral
change in how you live.
( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ) Therefore if
any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold,
all things are become new.
3. THE
EVIDENCE OF THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Your life
begins to reflect the character of God while turning away from old, sinful
habits.
( Galatians 5:16-23 ) [16]This I say
then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
[17]For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the
Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that
ye cannot do the things that ye would.
[18]But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under
the law.
[19]Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are
these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
[20]Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance,
emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
[21]Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and
such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time
past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
[22]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
[23]Meekness, temperance: against such there is no
law.
4. THE ACTIVE GUIDANCE AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
You
experience the Holy Spirit actively convicting you, comforting you, guiding you
into truth, and helping you in prayer.
( John 16:13 ) Howbeit when
he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he
shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come.
( Romans 8:26 ) Likewise the
Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as
we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which
cannot be uttered.
5. A DEEP
BURDEN AND DESIRE FOR THE SALVATION OF THE LOST
A genuine
Christian carries a heartfelt desire and a passion to pray for and share the
Gospel with those who do not yet know Christ.
( Romans 10:1 ) Brethren, my
heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
6. GREAT JOY AND EAGERNESS TO WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH.
There is a
sincere, joyful desire to praise God from the heart, setting aside superficial
rituals to connect with Him deeply.
( John 4:23-24 ) [23]But the
hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in
spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
[24]God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must
worship him in spirit and in truth.
