[NN] [PREACHING LESSON 14:] THE DAILY SPIRITUAL WALK: GLORIFYING GOD IN OUR LIVES

THE DAILY SPIRITUAL WALK: GLORIFYING GOD IN OUR LIVES

(1 Corinthians 10:31) V 31"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

1. BY LOVING GOD FIRST, GOD IS GLORIFIED IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

*When we give God the highest place in our hearts, He is glorified in our daily lives.

( Deuteronomy 6:5-6 ) [5]And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

[6]And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

2.  BY WORSHIPING GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH, GOD IS GLORIFIED IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

*True, heartfelt worship brings honor and glory to our Heavenly Father.

( John 4:23-24 ) [23]But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

[24]God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

3. BY USING OUR TALENTS TO SERVE HIM, GOD IS GLORIFIED IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

God is glorified when we actively employ the unique spiritual gifts and abilities He has entrusted to us to build up others.

( Romans 12:6-11 ) [6]Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

[7]Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

[8]Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

[9]Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

[10]Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

[11]Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

4. BY DEEPENING OUR KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, GOD IS GLORIFIED IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

* As we seek to know Christ intimately—experiencing His power and fellowship—His righteousness is magnified through us.

Philippians 3:9-10 [9]And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

[10]That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

5. BY CONFFESSING OUR SINS, GOD IS GLORIFIED IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

*Walking in humility and keeping short accounts with God through confession allows His cleansing power and truth to shine.

( 1 John 1:7-10 ) [7]But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

[8]If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

[9]If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

[10]If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

6. BY ALLOWING THE HOLY SPIRIT TO MOVE IN YOUR LIFE, GOD IS GLORIFIED IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

*When we allow the Holy Spirit to guide and move within us, we live victoriously as overcomers, secure in Christ's love.

( Romans 8:31-37 ) Romans 8:31-39

[31]What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

[32]He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

[33]Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

[34]Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

[35]Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

[36]As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

[37]Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

7. BY GIVING THANKS ALWAYS, GOD IS GLORIFIED IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

*A continuous posture of gratitude in every circumstance recognizes God’s goodness and fulfills His will.

Psalms 118:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

8. BY SHARING THE GOSPEL AT ANY COST, GOD IS GLORIFIED IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

( I Corinthians 9:19-22 ) [19]For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

[20]And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

[21]To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

[22]To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

God bless you all always!
