WHY AN
ORDINARY CHRISTIAN LIKE YOU AND ME CAN BE A GREAT INSTRUMENTS OF GOD FOR THE
SALVATION OF MANY LOST PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY?
( Acts 2 : 36-41) [V. 41] Then
they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were
added unto them about three thousand souls.
1. THE
ORDINARY CHRISTIAN IS NOT ASHAMED TO PREACH THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, FOR IT IS THE
POWER OF GOD UNTO THE SALVATION OF LOST SINNERS
Romans 1:15-16 [15]So, as much
as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
[16]For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for
it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew
first, and also to the Greek.
2. THE ORDINARY CHRISTIAN CHOOSES TO OBEY TO GOD RATHER THAN MAN IN
FULFILLING THE GREAT COMMISSION OF JESUS CHRIST
Acts 5:28-29 [28]Saying, Did
not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold,
ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's
blood upon us.
[29]Then Peter and the other apostles answered and
said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
3. THE
ORDINARY CHRISTIAN GIVES THEMSELVES TO PRAYER FOR THE SALVATION OF MULTITUDES OF
LOST PEOPLE.
( Romans 1:10 ) Making request,
if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of
God to come unto you.
( Acts 6:4 - 7 ) [4]But we will
give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
[5]And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and
they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and
Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of
Antioch:
[6]Whom they set before the apostles: and when they
had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
[7]And the word of God increased; and the number of
the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the
priests were obedient to the faith.
4. THE
ORDINARY CHRISTIAN ASKS FOR THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO GUIDE THEM WITH
WISDOM TO WIN THE LOST AT ANY COST.
( Acts 1: 8 ) But ye shall
receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and
unto the uttermost part of the earth.
* ( John 16:13 ) Howbeit when
he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he
shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come.
5. THE
ORDINARY CHRISTIAN CHOOSES TO ALWAYS ABOUND IN THE WORK OF THE LORD AND BE
VICTORIOUS IN HIS MINISTRY.
( I Corinthians 15:57-58 ) [57]But thanks
be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[58]Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast,
unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that
your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
6. THE
ORDINARY CHRISTIAN IS COMMITTED TO GIVING ALL THE GLORY TO GOD FOR GREAT
ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN HIS WORK.
( Colossians 1:10 ) That ye might
walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work,
and increasing in the knowledge of God;
God bless
you all always!
