THE BEST
THINGS FOR THE CHRISTIANS TO DO IN THEIR CHRISTIAN LIFE IS TO CHOOSE TO BE
CLOSE TO GOD ALWAYS.
( Psalms 73:28 ) But it is good for me to draw near
to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
* INTRODUCTION:
* Many times, the Christians are always choosing to love the World. Even
though God warn them not to love the World.
( I John 2:15-17 ) [15]Love not the world, neither
the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the
Father is not in him.
[16]For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not
of the Father, but is of the world.
[17]And the world passeth away,
and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
* Demas is our bad example for this.
( II Timothy 4:10 ) For Demas hath forsaken me, having
loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to
Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
1. IF WE CHOOSE TO BE CLOSE TO GOD YOU WILL ENJOY GOD'S
PERFECT PROTECTION IN YOUR LIFE.
( Psalms 91:1-5 ) [1]He that dwelleth in the secret
place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[2]I will say of the LORD, He is
my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
[3]Surely he shall deliver thee
from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
[4]He shall cover thee with his
feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield
and buckler.
[5]Thou shalt not be afraid for
the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
2. IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE CLOSE TO GOD YOU WILL ENJOY GOD'S
PERFECT PRESENCE IN YOUR LIFE.
( Psalms 27:1-4 ) [1] The LORD is my light and my
salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom
shall I be afraid?
[2]When the wicked, even mine
enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
[3]Though an host should encamp
against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this
will I be confident.
[4]One thing have I desired of the
LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the
days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his
temple.
[5]For in the time of trouble he
shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide
me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
* King David gave his true experience of the presence of God. God is his
light when he encounter darkness and crisis moment in his lives.
* God gave us courage and confidence and without fear of the attack of
our spiritual enemy to us.
3. IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE CLOSE TO GOD YOU WILL ENJOY GOD'S
PERFECT POWER IN OUR LIVES.
( Acts 1:8 ) But ye shall receive power, after
that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of
the earth.
* God's power is from the guidance and leading and working of the Holy
Spirit in our lives.
( John 16: 13 ) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of
truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of
himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew
you things to come.
4. IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE CLOSE TO GOD YOU WILL ENJOY GOD'S
PERFECT PROMISES IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.
( II Peter 1:1-8 ) [1]Simon Peter, a servant and an
apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us
through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
[2]Grace and peace be multiplied
unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
[3]According as his divine power
hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the
knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
[4]Whereby are given unto us
exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of
the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through
lust.
[5]And beside this, giving all
diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
[6]And to knowledge temperance;
and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
[7]And to godliness brotherly
kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
[8]For if these things be in you,
and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the
knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5. IF WE CHOOSE TO BE CLOSE TO GOD YOU WILL ENJOY GOD'S
PERFECT PROMOTION IN YOUR LIFE.
( James 4:6-10 ) [6]But he giveth more grace.
Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
[7]Submit yourselves therefore to
God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[8]Draw nigh to God, and he will
draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye
double minded.
[9]Be afflicted, and mourn, and
weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
( James 4:10 ) Humble yourselves in the sight of
the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
6. IF WE CHOOSE TO BE CLOSE TO GOD'S PERFECT PEACE IN OUR
CHRISTIAN LIFE.
( Philippians 4:7-13
) [7]And the
peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.
[8]Finally, brethren, whatsoever
things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are
of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on
these things.
[9]Those things, which ye have
both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace
shall be with you.
[10]But I rejoiced in the Lord
greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye
were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
[11]Not that I speak in respect of
want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
[12]I know both how to be abased,
and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to
be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
[13]I can do all things through
Christ which strengtheneth me.
* God bless you all always *
