[M] [PREACHING LESSON 7:] WHAT THE CHRISTIAN SHOULD NOT STOP DOING IN ORDER FOR THEM TO PLEASE THE LORD.

WHAT THE CHRISTIAN SHOULD NOT STOP DOING IN ORDER FOR THEM TO PLEASE THE LORD.

( Hebrews 11:6 ) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

( Colossians 1:10 ) 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

* INTRODUCTION:

a. This is a serious reminders to many Christians who are in their start walking in Christian life but the problem is they are good in their start but cannot able to continue. They are good starter but not good finishers.

b. This lesson is an encouragement to us not stop what you've started doing for the Lord that always please Him.

6 GREAT THINGS THE CHRISTIAN DO NOT STOP DOING IN ORDER TO PLEASE THE LORD.

1. DO NOT STOP WALKING A LIKE THE STEP EXAMPLE OF THE JESUS CHRIST.

( I Peter 2:21 )  For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

a. Christ walk is always a walk as a light in the World.

( John 1:4-5 ) 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

b. Christ commanded His disciples to walk in the light.

( Mathew 5:16 ) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

2. DO NOT STOP WORSHIPPING GOD IN YOUR LIFE.

( Hebrews 10:25 ) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

a. Paul have a serious reminder not to stop worshipping God like unfaithful Christian are doing. " As the manner of other Chistian are doung." As what Paul said and observed.

( Hebrews 10:25 ) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

3. DO NOT STOP WATCHING AND PRAYING TO GOD CONSISTENTLY.

( Mathew 26:39-41 ) And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

a. God promise us to find grace and mercy in times of needs when Christian will not stop praying.

( Hebrews 4:12 ) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

b. Great blessing more than we expect if we do not stop praying to God.

( Jeremiah 33:3 ) Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

4. DO NOT STOP WAKING UP SPIRITUALY AND SERVE THE LORD FAITHFULLY.

( Ephesians 5:14-16 ) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shallz give thee light.

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

5. DO NOT STOP WITNESSING AND LOVING THE LOST PERSON AT ALL COST

( Romans 1:15-16 ) So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

a. Christ always desire that all men might be save and come unto the knowledge of truth.

( I Timothy 2:4 ) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

b. Christ always move with compassion to many lost people in the World.

( Mathew 9 :36 ) But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

6. DO NOT GIVING YOUR TITHES AND OFFERRING TO THE LORD.

( Malachi 3:10-12 ) Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

a. God said it is blessed to give than to receive.

( Acts 20:35 ) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

* God bless you all always. *
