THE MULTIPLE
SPIRITUAL REWARDS OF GOD ENJOYED BY FAITHFUL CHRISTIANS
( Proverbs 28:20 ) A
faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich
shall not be innocent.
* INTRODUCTION:
a. The great blessings and rewards
that faithful Christians receive do not happen by accident; they are the
intentional rewards of a loving God.
( Hebrews 6:10 ) For God
is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed
toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
b. Those who remain steadfast in
their walk with God can look forward to an abundance of spiritual and eternal
blessings.
( II Timothy 4:7-8 ) I have
fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me
a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at
that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
1. GOD'S PROVISION ENJOYED BY
FAITHFUL CHRISTIANS.
( Philippians 4:17-19 ) 17
Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your
account.
18 But I have all, and abound: I am
full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an
odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
19 But my God shall supply all your
need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
2. GOD'S PROTECTION ENJOYED BY
FAITHFUL CHRISTIANS.
( Psalms 91:1-7 ) 1 He
that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow
of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my
refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from
the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his
feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield
and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the
terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that
walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side,
and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
3. GOD'S PRESENCE ENJOYED BY FAITHFUL
CHRISTIANS.
( Psalms 27:4 ) One
thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in
the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the
LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
4. GOD'S PROMISES ENJOYED BY FAITHFUL
CHRISTIANS.
( II Peter 1:1-4 ) 1 Simon
Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained
like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour
Jesus Christ:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto
you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath
given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the
knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us
exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of
the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through
lust.
5. GOD'S POWER ENJOYED BY FAITHFUL
CHRISTIANS
( Acts 1:8 ) But ye
shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall
be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and
unto the uttermost part of the earth.
( Galatians 5:16, 22-23 ,25 ) 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not
fulfil the lust of the flesh.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against
such there is no law.
25 If we
live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
6. GOD'S PROMOTION ENJOYED BY
FAITHFUL CHRISTIANS.
( Psalms 75:6 ) For
promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
( I Peter 5:6 ) Humble
yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due
time:
