LEARN TO SAY NO IF THE SPIRITUAL ENEMY TEMPT YOU TO SIN AND DISPLEASE THE LORD IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.
( James
5 :12 ) But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by
heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be
yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
1. LEARN TO SAY NO IF THE SPIRITUAL ENEMY TEMPT NOT TO GIVE
IN YOUR DAILY MEDITATION.
( Joshua
1:8 ) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but
thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do
according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way
prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
a. In your daily devotions help the Christian to be
strong in their Christian life.
.(
Mathew 4:4 ) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
2. LEARN TO SAY NO IF THE SPIRITUAL ENEMY HINDER YOU TO
WORSHIP GOD DURING FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.
(
Hebrews 10:25 ) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the
manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see
the day approaching.
( Acts 20 :7 ) And upon the first day of the week,
when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready
to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
a. Worshipping God during Sunday is obeying God in
seeking God first in our Christian life.
( Mathew
6:33 ) But seek ye first the
kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto
you.
3. LEARN TO SAY NO IF THE SPIRITUAL ENEMY TEMPT YOU TO BE
ASHAMED IN SHARING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST TO THE LOST PEOPLE.
( Romans
1 :16 ) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the
power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and
also to the Greek.
a. Being ashame of sharing the gospel of Christ cannot
please God.
( Luke 9
:26 ) For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him
shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in
his Father's, and of the holy angels.
4. LEARN TO SAY NO IF THE SPIRITUAL ENEMY WILL TEMPT LOVE
THE WORLD AND FORSAKE THE WORK OF THE LORD.
( II
Timothy 4:10 ) For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world,
and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.)
a. The Devil always tempt the Christian to love the
world.
( I John
2: 15-17 ) Love not the world, neither the things that are in the
world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For
all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And
the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God
abideth for ever.
5. LEARN TO SAY NO IF THE SPIRITUAL ENEMY WILL TEMPT NOT
TO GIVE YOUR TITHES AND OFFERING TO THE LORD.
(
Malachi 3:8-12 ) Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say,
Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are
cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Bring
ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,
and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the
windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room
enough to receive it.
11 And I
will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of
your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the
field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12 And
all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith
the LORD of hosts.
a. God said the faithful giver to the Lord work are
blessed people of God
( Acts
20:35 ) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought
to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said,
It is more blessed to give than to receive.
b. God loveth the cheerful giver.
( II
Corinthians 9:6-7 ) But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also
sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every
man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or
of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
* God bless you all always *
