[M] [PREACHING LESSON 12:] WAYS GOD COMFORTETH HIS CHILDREN IN TIMES OF DEEP TRIALS AND TROUBLES.

WAYS GOD COMFORTETH HIS CHILDREN IN TIMES OF DEEP TRIALS AND TROUBLES.

( II Corintians 1:4 ) 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

* INTRODUCTION:

a. God is like a dear Father who always concern for the good and safety of dear His children.

( Psalms 121:4-7 ) 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

1. GOD COMFORTETH US THROUGH PERSONAL CONCERN TO COMFORT US.

( II Corinthians 1:4 ) 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

2. GOD COMFORTETH US THROUGH HIS POWERFUL WORDS OF GOD.

( Hebrews 4:12 ) 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

3. GOD COMFORTETH US THROUGH HIS PERFECT PRESENCE.

( Psalms 27:4 ) 4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

4. GOD COMFORTETH US THROUGH HIS PROMISE OF HIS SOON COMING.

( 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ) 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

5. GOD COMFORTETH US THROUGH THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE LIFE OF THE CHRISTIAN.

( Galacians 5:22-23 ) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

* God bless you all *
