THE BIBLICAL CHARATERICTICS OF A GOOD CHRISTIAN IN GOD'S SIGHT
( Psalms 37:23) The steps of a good man are ordered
by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
1. THE GOOD CHRISTIAN WALK ACCORDING
TO GOD'S COUNSEL.
( Psalms 1:-3 ) 1 Blessed is the man that walketh
not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor
sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law
doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of
water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not
wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
2. THE GOOD CHRISTIAN WORSHIP GOD'S
ACCORDING GOD'S PRINCIPLE.
( John 4:23-24 ) But the hour cometh, and now is,
when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for
the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship
him in spirit and in truth.
3. THE GOOD CHRISTIAN WATCH AND PRAY
ACCORDING TO CHRIST EXAMPLE.
( Mathew 26:39-41 ) 39 And he went a little farther, and
fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this
cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them
asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the
spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
4. THE GOOD CHRISTIAN WAR SPIRITUALLY
AGAINST THE EVIL FORCES IN MUCH PRAYERS AND SUPPLICATION TO GOD.
( Ephessians 6:18 ) 18 Praying always with all prayer
and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance
and supplication for all saints;
5. THE GOOD CHRISTIAN WORK IN GOD'S
MINISTRY ACCORDING TO THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
( Acts 1:8 ) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all
Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
( John 16:13 ) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of
truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of
himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew
you things to come.
6. THE GOOD CHRISTIAN WIN SOULS AT
ANY COST AND ANYTIME FOR GOD'S GLORY.
( John 9:4-5 ) I must work the works of him that
sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
