WHAT DOES THE BIBLE MEAN BY SEEKING AND FINDING GOD?

Deuteronomy 4:29 ) But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou
shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
I. SEEKING AND FINDING GOD INVOLVES PRAYER TO GOD AND RECEIVE AN ANSWER
FROM HIM.

Matthew 7:7 ) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Psalms
34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from
all my fears.

Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then
will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
II. SEEKING AND FINDING GOD INVOLVES, KNOWING THE WILL OF GOD BASE ON THE
REVELATION FROM GOD'S WORD.

119:2 ) Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek
him with the whole heart.

Psalms19:7-11 ) The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the
testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The
statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the
LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are
true and righteous altogether.
10 More
to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than
honey and the honeycomb.

Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great

III. SEEKING AND FINDING GOD INVOLVES THE TRUE EXPIRIENCE
THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN THEIR LIFE.
Exodus
33:7 And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the
camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation.
And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the
tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.
Psalms
27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek
after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to
behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
Hebrews
11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he
that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them
that diligently seek him.
IV. SEEKING AND FINDING GOD, IINVOLVES THE PROGRESS AND
GREATNESS OF THE WORK OF THE LORD.

1 Praise
ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the
upright, and in the congregation.
2 The
works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
3 His
work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 He hath
made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of
compassion.
V. SEEKING AND FINDING GOD INVOLVES THE GREAT REWARD FOR ALL FAITHFUL
CHRISTIAN IN SEEKING GOD FIRST IN THEIR LIFE.

6:33 ) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.
