A GROWING AND FRUITFUL CHURCH ARE THE RESULT OF CHRIST LIFE OF THE CHRISTIAN INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH.
( I Peter 2:21) For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also
suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
* Introduction:
* Christ leave us an example for His disciple
to follow to assure growth and fruitfulness in the Ministry of the Lord.
1. A
PRAYERFUL CHURCH IS A GROWING AND A FUITFUL CHURCH.
( Acts 1:13-15 ) 13 And when they were come in, they
went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and
Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of
Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 These all continued with one
accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of
Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 And in those days Peter stood up
in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were
about an hundred and twenty,)
2. A
WORSHIPER CHURCH IS A GROWING AND FRUITFULL CHURCH.
( Acts 2: 46-47 )
46 And they, continuing daily with
one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their
meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour
with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be
saved.
3. A
BOUNTIFULL SERVING CHURCH IS GROWING AND A FRUITFUL CHURCH.
( I Corithians 15:58 ) 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast,
unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that
your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
* Paul always
bussiness in serving the Lord.
( Romans 12: 6-11 ) Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is
given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of
faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our
ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on
exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth,
with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without dissimulation.
Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to
another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent
in spirit; serving the Lord;
4. A
SOULWINNING CHURCH IS A GROWING AND FRUITFUL CHURCH.
( Acts 11:20-23 ) And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when
they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus.
21 And the hand of the Lord was with
them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
22 Then tidings of these things came
unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth
Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
23 Who, when he came, and had seen
the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart
they would cleave unto the Lord.
5. A GIVING
CHURCH IS A GROWING AND A FRUITFUL CHURCH.
( Acts 4: 33-37 ) 33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the
resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34 Neither was there any among them
that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and
brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35 And laid them down at the
apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had
need.
36 And Joses, who by the apostles
was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a
Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
37 Having land, sold it, and brought
the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
6. A MISSION
MINDED CHURCH IS GROWING AND FRUITFUL CHURCH.
( Acts 16: 9-10 ) And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a
man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help
us.
10 And after he had seen the vision,
immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the
Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
* Philippian
Church soldout support to the Mission work.
( Philippians 4:15-19 ) Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the
gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as
concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent
once and again unto my necessity.
17 Not because I desire a gift: but
I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
18 But I have all, and abound: I am
full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an
odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
19 But my God shall supply all your
need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
* God bless
you all always *
