[L] [PREACHING LESSON 18:] PRECIOUS PEOPLE INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH THAT ALWAYS PLEASES GOD

 PRECIOUS PEOPLE INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH THAT ALWAYS PLEASES GOD.

( Romans 16:1-7 ) I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:

4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

6 Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

8 Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.

9 Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.

* INTRODUCTION:

a. Precious people are spiritual and God fearing people of God inside the local Church.

( Psalms 128:1-4 ) Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

b. Special people are special in the sight of God.

( I Peter 2:9-10 ) Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

1. THE CHRISTIAN WHO ALWAYS WORSHIP THE LORD WITH EXCITEMENT.

( Psalms 122:1 ) I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

2. THE CHRISTIAN WHO AKWAYS SERVE THE LORD WITH FAITHFULNESS.

( I Timothy 1:12 ) And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

3. THE CHRISTIAN WHO GIVE ALWAYS THEIR TITHES AND OFFERRING CONSISTENTLY.

( Malachi 3:10 ) Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

4. THE CHRISTIAN WHO ALWAYS PRAY BRETHREN IN CHRIST THAT FACE TRIALS IN LIFE.

( Acts 12:5 ) Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

5. THE CHRISTIAN WHO ALWAYS OBEY GOD AND DO NOT COMPLAIN.

( Hebrews 11:4-8 ) By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

* God bless you always *
