[L] [PREACHING LESSON 17:] THE BIBLICAL MARKS OF A MATURED CHRISTIANS IN THE SIGHT OF GOD

THE BIBLICAL MARKS OF A MATURED CHRISTIANS IN THE SIGHT OF GOD.

(1Corinthians 13:11) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

1 MATURED CHRISTIAN DO NOT SKIP TO MEDITATE THE WORD GOD EVERYDAY.

( Joshua 1:8 ) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

2. MATURED CHRISTIAN DO NOT ACT LIKE A CHILD.

( I Corinthian 13:11 ) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

3. MATURE CHRISTIAN DO NOT SPEAK WITHOUT WISDOM.

( Proverbs 4:7 ) 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

4. MATURED CHRISTIAN DO NOT WALK IN THE COUNSEL OF THE UNGODLY.

( Psalms 1:1 ) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

5. MATURED CHRISTIAN DO NOT EQUALLY YOKE WITH THE UNBELIEVERS.

( II Corinthians 6:14-16 ) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

6. MATURED CHRISTIAN DO NOT FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLY IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD LIKE OTHERS.

( Hebrews 10:25 ) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

7. MATURED CHRISTIAN DO NOT SKIP IN GIVING THEIR TITHES AND OFFERRING TO THE LORD.

( Malachi 3:8-10 ) Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

* God bless you all always *
