WHY WE SHOULD HAVE AN URGENCY TO WIN THE
LOST AT ANY COST?
MARK 8:36 "For
what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own
soul?"
INTRODUCTION:
a. Christ
showed first His concern for the lost to be saved.
MATTHEW 9:35-36 "And
Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every
disease among the people. 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with
compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep
having no shepherd."
b. God
the Father desires that all might be saved.
1TIMOTHY 2:4 "Who
will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the
truth."
2PETER 3:9 "The
Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is
longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all
should come to repentance."
c. Sad
to say that though we know Christ deep burden for the lost people to be saved
in whom Christ commanded to go therefore into all the world and win the lost at
any cost but we are not doing anything to fulfill the Great Commission of the
Lord Jesus.
MATTHEW 28:19-20 "Go ye
therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and
of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the
end of the world. Amen."

THINGS THAT GIVES GREAT REASON TO HAVE URGENCY TO WIN THE LOST AT ANY COST
Why we
should have urgency?
I. BECAUSE
OF THE VALUE OF SOULS OF THE LOST
MARK 8:36 "For
what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own
soul?"
a.
The Bible gave us the value
of individual souls of the lost more than the value of the world. The Bible
says "For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and
lose his own soul". The value of souls is more than the value of this
world. Meaning, even you gather all the riches of this world, the wealth of
Israel, America, China, all riches of all the known personalities; it cannot be
compared to the price or value of this world. And yet, we Christians do not
have concern and an urgency of winning the lost at any cost. God pronounce to His people "that he that winneth
souls is wise".
b.
Souls are precious because
it is created by God as an eternal soul. God gave His precious Son Jesus Christ
for the sake of saving the lost souls of sinners.
JOHN 3:16 "For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
II. BECAUSE
THE LIFE OF MAN IS SO SHORT
JAMES 4:14 "Whereas
ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a
vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."
a. The Bible says that the life of man is like a vapor, we
cannot be sure if they are still alive tomorrow, it is like a vapor, easy to
disappear.
b. God said that it is appointed unto man once to die and
after this the judgment.
HEBREWS 9:27 "And
as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"
c. God said after we died is the judgment in hell forever
and ever and ever.
d.God always plan to save precious souls of the lost now. This
is the good reason why we need to have an urgency to win the lost at any cost.
2 CORINTHIANS 6:2 "(For
he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation
have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day
of salvation.)" "Now is the day of salvation" and tomorrow maybe
late already.
e. Life is so short.
III. BECAUSE
OUR DAYS ARE EVIL AND HINDER US TO WIN THE LOST
EPHESIANS 5:16 "Redeeming
the time, because the days are evil."
a. It is good that we can share the gospel of Christ to the
lost and no one will hinder you.
b. In other country, they do not allow to share the gospel
publicly.
c. Some authority will hinder and warn you to share even the
giving of tracts to people is prohibited.
d.Evil men are now everywhere that is what the Bible says.
2 PETER 3:1-5 "This
second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your
pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which
were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the
apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come
in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where
is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things
continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5 For this they
willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and
the earth standing out of the water and in the water:"
e. These lost people are becoming our big hindrance because
their heart is hard and will not accept the truth of the word of God.
2TIMOTHY 4:3-4 "For
the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their
own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And
they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto
fables."
f. Our enemy the devil is working double time to deceive
many lost people.
2CORINTHIANS 11:13-15 "For
such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the
apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an
angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be
transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to
their works."
MATTHEW 24:11 "And
many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."
IV. BECAUSE
THE HEART OF THE LOST ARE STILL OPEN TO HEAR THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST
ACTS 16:14 "And a
certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which
worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto
the things which were spoken of Paul."
a. Peter preached to 3000 lost people and 3000 accepted the
Lord and decided to be baptized.
ACTS 2:41 "Then
they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were
added unto them about three thousand souls."
b. The Jerusalem church continued in daily soulwinning and
many added to the church daily.
ACTS 2:47 "Praising
God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church
daily such as should be saved."
c. Multitudes of souls being saved because of the
zealousness of the Christians in Jerusalem in soulwinning.
ACTS 6:7 "And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples
multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were
obedient to the faith."
V. BECAUSE OF THE ETERNAL JUDGMENT IN HELL
2THESSALONIANS 1:8-9 "In
flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting
destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his
power;"
a. The
judgment is an everlasting judgment.
b. Those
that rejected the precious gift of God, the Lord Jesus Christ will experience
the wrath of God forever and ever.
JOHN 3:36 "He
that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the
Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
c. God
said that He do not want any should perish in eternal hell judgment.
2PETER 3:9 "The

CONCLUSION:
Why we
should have an urgency to win the lost at any cost?
I.
Because of the value of souls of the lost. (Mark 8:36)
II.
Because the life of man is so short. (James 4:14)
III.
Because our days are evil and hinder us to win the lost. (Ephesians 5:16)
IV. Because
of eternal judgment of the lost souls is eternal hell.
