EPHESIANS
5:14-18 “Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise
from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Eph 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Introduction:
a.
The Lord Jesus clearly expressed His recognition and good
support for fruitful Christians.
b.
This is the plan and design of Christ for every Christian
that we become fruitful Christians.
JOHN 15:8 “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so
shall ye be my disciples.”
Great promotion of Christ to fruitful Christians:
I.
FRUITFUL CHRISTIANS ARE APPROVED DISCIPLES OF CHRIST
(Ang mga mabubungang Kristiyano ay naaprubahan na
mga alagad ni Cristo)
JOHN 15:4-5 “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit
of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Jn 15:5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in
him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
a. God designed
the Christian life to be a fruitful life, and it is always possible only if we
remain in Christ faithfully.
b. Living a
Christian fruitful life require a consistent cleansing of our life through his
precious word.
JOHN 15:3 “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto
you.”
II. FRUITFUL CHRISTIANS ABIDE IN CHRIST’S LOVE
(Ang mga mabungang Kristiyano ay sumusunod sa
pag-ibig ni Cristo)
JOHN 15:9-10 “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue
ye in my love.
Jn 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have
kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.”
a. Christ
commanded us to continue in His love. The love of Christ is to love the lost
sinner and win them over to Him.
b. Christ’s
great love for the lost is for all sinners. He is not a respecter of person.
JOHN 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.”
III. FRUITFUL CHRISTIANS ARE ASSURED THAT THE JOY IN
CHRIST WILL REMAIN TO THEM THAT WIN LOST PEOPLE
(Ang
mga mabubungang Kristiyano ay nakakatiyak na ang kagalakan ni Cristo ay
mananatili sa kanila na nag-aakay ng kaluluwa)
JOHN 15:11 “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might
remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.”
a. Christ’s joy is
to see many lost people saved.
ACTS 11:22-23 “Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the
church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go
as far as Antioch.
Acts 11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and
exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.”
b. There is a
great joy in heaven before God and angels for a saved soul.
LUKE 15:7 “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over
one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which
need no repentance.”
IV. FRUITFUL CHRISTIANS ARE ACCEPTED AS CHRIST’S BEST
FRIENDS
(Ang
mga mabubungang Kristiyano ay tinanggap bilang matalik na kaibigan ni Cristo)
JOHN 15:14-15 “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Jn 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what
his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard
of my Father I have made known unto you.”
a. Christ said because we obeyed His great commandment
then He accepted us as His best friend.
b. Fruitful Christians are no longer servants but a partner
friend in Christ’s heavenly business of winning lost people.
V. FRUITFUL CHRISTIANS ARE APPOINTED AS CO-LABORERS OF
CHRIST
(Ang
mga mabubungang Kristiyano ay itinalaga bilang mga kamanggagawa ni Cristo)
JOHN 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained
you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should
remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it
you.”
a. It is our honor that Christ has chosen and
appointed us to be His fruitful co-laborers in His vineyard.
b. Christ has promised us that our prayers will be
answered because we have chosen to be fruitful co-laborers with Christ.
Conclusion:
The Lord Jesus Christ promotes and blesses the life of a
fruitful Christian.
JOHN 15:8 ““Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so
shall ye be my disciples.”
God bless you all
