[K] [PREACHING LESSON 3:] GREAT CHALLENGES FOR US TO LIVE FOR REACHING MORE SOULS FOR CHRIST

GALATIANS 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Introduction:

a.    Paul made a very strong conviction in giving his testimony to whom he will give and use his life.

Ø Paul’s testimony was so touching that he offered to use his life to fulfill Christ’s great desire that all men might be saved.

1TIMOTHY 2:4 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

Great biblical examples of living their lives to reach more souls:

I. CHRIST’S PURPOSE in COMING TO THIS WORLD IS TO SEEK AND  SAVE LOST PEOPLE

LUKE 19:10 “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

a.    Christ is our prime example of our one life for the desire to reach more souls for Christ.

b.    Christ's great purpose in life for coming into the world is to seek and save the lost.

c.     Christ made the soulwinning a daily life and a necessary great work during His earthly ministry.

JOHN 9:4-5 “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Jn 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

II. PAUL’S PRIORITY IN LIFE AFTER HE WAS SAVED WAS TO REACH THE LOST AT ANY COST

1CORINTHIANS 9:19 “For though I be free from all [men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.”

a.    Paul’s priority after being saved was to win over lost people. He made a servant to everyone that he could win many souls.

b.    Paul’s priority in reaching many souls does not change even in times of great threat to his Christian life. He was steadfast in his decision to continue and finish with the satisfaction of his heart the ministry of winning soul.

ACTS 20:24 “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”

III. THE CHURCH IN JERUSALEM PROSPERED BECAUSE SOULWINNING WAS THEIR PRIMARY BUSINESS WITH THE LORD

ACTS 5:42 “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”

ACTS 2:41 “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.”

a.    The growth of the church will not stop but will continue if we make soulwinning the core business of the church.

ACTS 2:47 “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

b.    The growth of the local church continues because the church is accustomed to the daily soulwinning.

ACTS 6:7 “And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.”

IV. PETER PROMOTES EFFECTIVE SOULWINNING OF THE CHRISTIAN

ACTS 2:47 “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

1PETER 3:15 “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”

a.    Effective soul winning ensures more and sure fruits harvesting is through a sanctified life of soul winners.

b.    Effective soulwinning requires tears and love for the souls of sinners.

PSALMS 126:5-6 “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Pss 126:6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves [with him].”

c.     The unity and togetherness of each member in soulwinning is key to successful soulwinning.

PSALMS 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

Conclusion:

We need these great challenges to always focus on winning the many lost people at any cost and the Lord Jesus Christ is our prime example for this great important work of God.

MARK 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

God bless you all!
