SOME GODLY
SPECIAL DECISIONS OF CHRISTIANS THAT BRING THEM CLOSER TO GOD
PSALMS 73:28 “But it is
good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I
may declare all thy works.”
Introduction:
a. Isang magandang huwaran si Haring David ng isang Kristiyanong laging
may pagnanais na maging malapit sa Panginoon. Siya ay gumawa ng isang matatag
at seryosong desisyon upang maging malapit sa Kanyang Panginoon.
b. Isang malinaw na katotohanan na ang Kristiyano ay hindi maaaring
magtagumpay sa kanyang sarili lamang. Kailangan niyang gumawa ng pasya na
piliin ang maging malapit sa Diyos. Sinabi ni Hesus na hindi tayo magtatagumpay
kung hindi tayo magtitiwala sa Kanya.
JOHN 15:5 “I am the
vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same
bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
1. SERVING THE LORD WITH HUMILITY OF MIND BRINGS THE CHRISTIAN CLOSER TO
GOD
ACTS 20:19 “Serving
the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which
befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:”
a. Seryosong patotoo ni Pablo na siya ay naglilingkod nang may kababaan
ng isip. Kaya naman lalo siyang naging epektibo sa pagganap ng gawain ng
Panginoon.
b. Inihanda ni Pablo ang kanyang sarili sa matinding kahirapan na
mararanasan dahil sa pag-uusig ng mga kaaway ng Diyos.
ACTS 20:20–23
c. Isang matibay na pasya na mahalin ang Diyos at ang Kanyang gawain
nang higit kaysa sa sarili.
ACTS 20:24 “But none
of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I
might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the
Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.”
2. SEARCHING GOD’S WORD BRINGS THE
CHRISTIAN CLOSER TO HIM
1 THESSALONIANS 2:13 “For this
cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of
God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is
in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”

The Bible states that it is not man's
word, but the very Word of God—the Word of truth.
a. Pinuri ni Pablo ang mga taga-Tesalonica sa kanilang pagtanggap sa
Salita ng Diyos, hindi katulad ng karaniwang pagtanggap sa salita ng tao.
b. Ang Salita ng Diyos ay sakdal at banal.
PSALMS 19:7
JOHN 17:17 “Sanctify
them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
c. Kaya ng Salita ng Diyos na ituwid, itama, at pagpalain ang ating
buhay.

3. SEEKING GOD FIRST WITH CONSISTENCY BRINGS THE CHRISTIAN CLOSER TO GOD
MATTHEW 6:33 “But seek
ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall
be added unto you.”
a. Ang pag-una sa Diyos sa ating buhay ay ang susi sa Kanyang masaganang
pagpapala.
b. Ang pagiging matapat sa pagsamba sa araw ng Linggo ay katunayan na
inuuna natin ang Diyos. Ang Linggo ang unang araw ng linggo.
ACTS 20:7
c. Magandang huwaran ang lokal na iglesya sa Jerusalem dahil inuuna nila
ang Diyos sa kanilang buhay.

4. SUPPORTING GOD’S WORK WITH
SACRIFICE BRINGS THE CHRISTIAN CLOSER TO GOD
2 CORINTHIANS 8:8 “I speak
not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove
the sincerity of your love.”
a. Hinamon ni Pablo ang mga taga-Corinto na patunayan ang kanilang
pag-ibig sa Diyos sa pamamagitan ng sakripisyong pagbibigay, tulad ng ginawa ng
mga taga-Macedonia.
2 CORINTHIANS 8:1–5
1. Masagana silang sumuporta kahit sila ay nasa gitna ng hirap at
pangangailangan.
2. Higit sa kanilang kakayahan ang kanilang ibinigay.
3. Ibinigay muna nila ang kanilang sarili sa Panginoon bago nagbigay ng
kanilang kakayanin.
Ang Panginoong Hesus ang pinakadakilang huwaran ng pagsuporta na may
lubos na sakripisyo sa pagbibigay.
2 CORINTHIANS 8:9 “For ye
know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your
sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”
5. SUBMITTING TO THE WILL OF GOD AND
REMAINING FAITHFUL BRINGS THE CHRISTIAN CLOSER TO GOD
JAMES 4:7–8 “Submit
yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw
near to God, and he will draw near to you...”
a. Naranasan ni Pablo ang katapatan ng Diyos at ang Kanyang mga pangako
para sa mga taong nagpapasakop at nananatiling tapat sa Kanya.
2 TIMOTHY 4:7–8 “I have
fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord,
the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto
all them also that love his appearing.”
PROVERBS 28:20 “A
faithful man shall abound with blessings...”
