THANK GOD FOR JOHN 3:16: THE GREAT LOVE OF
GOD FOR US AS SINNERS
(JOHN 3:16) “For God so
loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
a. John 3:16 is
the heart of the Bible and reflects the heart of God for all mankind.
b. John 3:16 is
the verse that has opened the hearts of many lost people who have since been
saved.
Reasons to
thank God for John 3:16:
1. IN JOHN
3:16, I UNDERSTAND GOD’S LOVE FOR ME DESPITE MY SIN.
“For God so loved the world...”
The ‘world’
refers to lost people. We became sinners because of Adam and Eve.
(ROMANS 5:12) “Wherefore,
as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed
upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
God loves me even
though I am a sinner. Thank You, God, for loving me so much.
2. IN JOHN
3:16, I UNDERSTAND THAT GOD GAVE HIS BEST—HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST—TO PROVE HIS
LOVE FOR ME.
“For God so loved the world, that He
gave His only begotten Son...”
I feel
significant because God loves me so much that He sent His Son to die on the
cross to pay for my sin in full.
(ROMANS 5:8-9) “But God
commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died
for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through him.”
Christ loves me
so much that while I was still a sinner, He died for me. Thank You so much,
God, for giving Your only begotten Son for me.
3. IN JOHN
3:16, I UNDERSTAND THAT GOD OFFERS HIS LOVE TO WHOEVER WANTS TO BE SAVED.
“For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son, and that whosoever...”
God invites
everyone to come to Him and be saved. This part of John 3:16 proves that God
did not choose for anyone to go to hell, but rather invited everyone to come to
the only Savior, Jesus Christ, and be saved.
(JOHN 14:6) “Jesus saith
unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.”
4. IN JOHN
3:16, I UNDERSTAND THAT GOD LOVES ME AND HAS PROMISED ME ETERNAL LIFE BECAUSE I
RECEIVED JESUS CHRIST INTO MY HEART AS THE LORD AND SAVIOR OF MY LIFE.
“For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son, and that whosoever believeth in Him, should not
perish but have everlasting life.”
He loves us
enough to provide a way to an abundant, eternal life. The salvation of our soul
is simple: just believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
Thank You, Lord,
for John 3:16. Through it, I understand that the salvation of my soul and the
rest of the world is possible. God bless you all. Do you want to receive the
