[JJ] [PREACHING LESSON 18:] GREAT POTENTIAL OF THE CHRISTIAN TO BE FRUITFUL IN WINNING LOST PEOPLE.

GREAT POTENTIAL OF THE CHRISTIAN TO BE FRUITFUL IN WINNING LOST PEOPLE.

1. SAVED AND BAPTIZED CHRISTIANS HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

( Matthew 28:19-20 ) [19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

[20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

2. THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES CHRISTIANS THE POTENTIAL FOR POWER AND WISDOM FROM GOD.

( Acts 1:8 ) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto theA uttermost part of the earth.

( John 16:13 ) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

3. THE DEDICATION OF THE JERUSALEM CHURCH IN PRAYERS AND GODLY LIVING PROVIDES THE POTENTIAL TO BE FRUITFUL IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE.

4. THE FAITHFULNESS OF THE CHURCH IN SUPPORTING MISSIONS AND MISSIONARIES IS THE POTENTIAL OF THE CHRISTIAN TO BE FRUITFUL.

( Philippians 4:15-16 ) [15]Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

[16]For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

5. STRONG CHURCH MEMBERS WITHIN THE LOCAL CHURCH ARE THE POTENTIAL FOR FRUITFULNESS IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE.

( II Timothy 2:1-6 ) [1]Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

[2]And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

[3]Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

[4]No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

[5]And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

[6]The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

( Ephesians 4:11-14 ) [11]And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

[12]For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

[13]Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

[14]That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

6. THE COURAGE OF THE CHRISTIAN TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES OF FULFILLING THE GREAT COMMISSION IS THE GREAT POTENTIAL FOR FRUITFULNESS.

( Acts 5:26-29 ) Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

7. HUMILITY AND TEARS ARE THE POTENTIAL OF THE CHRISTIAN TO BE FRUITFUL.

( Acts 20:19-21 ) [19]Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

[20]And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,

[21]Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

8. FAITHFULNESS IN WINNING LOST PEOPLE MAKES THE CHRISTIAN FRUITFUL IN THEIR WALK WITH GOD
( I Corinthians 15:58 ) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

* God bless you all always *
